So who all plans to make it to the rally? Mike is working really hard to put together a nice rally for everyone. I have put together a great roster of entertainment for not one, but two, nights of the event. Mike has lots of helpful seminars lined up. Some great catered meals for two nights, plus food during the day as well. And all of the entertainment, dining, and seminars is set to be inside a nice climate controlled arena so there is no worry about the weather being cold or rainy.
What is a worry though... Only two weeks till the event and even though people are saying they are coming, they are not getting registered. I promise you, this is going to be a premiere event. It is one of the easiest to reach events you will ever attend. It has been said that Nashville is within a day's drive for more of the US population than any other city in the country. And this event is less than an hour and a half from Nashville. Just a mile or so from the interstate 75 and 24 split, just off the exit on I-75.
So who is coming? Who is coming that hasn't registered yet? What can I do to help you decide and get registered? Only two weeks to go and Mike needs good solid numbers so he will can finalize deals with the caterers, RV parking, and other vendors....
If it wasn't 2000 miles on I 40 I would be there in a heart beat I was hoping to be in Texas at this time then up to the rally but that didn't workout, maybe next year you, Mike and myself can have one at the Caverns in Az for the west coasters
good luck
Will be there to meet new friends and renew old friendships. Swap a few stories and hopefully learn allot from others and share a little also. Bringing the 89 with a for-sale sign in window and odd and end conversion parts. Sinks anyone? Will even bring my button machine. See ya all there... Bob
I'm in, Clifford! I have a bit of event planning under my belt. Hopefully this one will be the success that Mike envisioned and will make it possible for other BCM rallies in the future. I know quite a few other Eagles will be there and Eagles International is pitching in with some of the coffee socials.
Good point, Robert! Everyone should bring their stuff for sale and their extra cash for buying. A swap meet is always a good part of a bus rally.
Bob how many dies do have with the button machine tell me what brand and how much I may be interested and can get Dale to bring it closer
good luck
We're inbound as I type this.. making a UT -> TN transitioning at a technomad pace.
Looking forward to make new friends, and meeting up with those we have before!

not for sale was just going to demo or let guys make their own buttons.. Have been doing free for others for cost of materials. Handy Jr. Got tired of paying $ a piece for button blank in package when you could buy bulk 20$ gross. Cuts material / presses you can do 10 plus a minute. snaps or eyes. Bob
I know what they do I have one but lost some of the dies and a complete unit is cheaper than the dies, I thought I had a buy here LOL
good luck

We will be arriving at Mikes on Sunday to help him set up the workshops and get ready for the rally. I will be doing a couple of seminars including the engine conversion seminar that Sonnie and I developed for the Arcadia rallies several years ago.
Pat will be doing her craft seminar for the ladies (rubber stamped greeting cards).
Don Bowen and I will co-present the welding workshop.
As Dale said, Mike Sullivan has poured his heart and sole into this rally. I hope lots of you folks will register and attend.

Hmm,
Very interesting thought. Might be a use for a seated coach to make short excursions to various sites for folks w/o toads, don't know the area, or who just don't want to drive!
(wonder where we might find such a thing?)
;D BK ;D
haha! yes, if only we knew someone w/ buses in the area, maybe some Setras, MCIs, Dina? Or ... Naw, that could never happen - too much to hope for. .. ..
:D :D -
'cause if we did, I'd be on that bus!
Best Regards, Phil
I am thinking about driving up for Saturday (it's only a couple hours from me), but I won't know for sure until the day before. Of course, I don't have a bus yet, so I'm just coming to drool...
Please do ktmossman! Will look forward to meeting you. :D
