You are not going to believe this...I am now the owner of two busses!!!! Am I nuts!!!??? I already have a 1983 MC9 that I am so attached to it's like a member of my dysfunctional family. But I was approached about a 102D3 with a Series 60 and an auto...what's a busaholic supposed to do? I'm weak, so very weak...I need counseling. Seriously, I have issues. Somebody please help...
Maybe I should refurbish the white Bronco and go for a slow speed drive...ugh

Line forms on your left...Cable
If you find a cure please tell me, we also have two an Eagle 01 and a 05 and a few weeks ago I was looking a good one M20 conversion but I was saved because I had no response from the owner after two or three back and forth emails, whew!
The only way to avoid the trap is to not let yourself think about buses or even browse for them! I used to be the same way about old Cadillacs. 124 Cadillacs later (yes, really...124!) I figured that out.
You are in good company ...

You give m hope!

I only have ONE letter from the County to deal with right now though! ::) ::)
TOM
You are in heaven...
From a driver's perspective, a later MC9 and a 102D3, are each, the last of the best of the generational breeding.
Both are a joy to throw down the road with wild abandon, go where your brain wants, without confusion between the order and the execution.
Sight lines and driving position were as God, and some motivated engineers, intended, caring about the driver's interaction with the road, and the vehicle.
I've driven lots of models over the years, coach and transit.
MC9 and 102D3 make spiritual connections to this driver that only an old GM can match.
Buy that puppy and call it done?
happy coaching!

Buswarrior:
That post gave me chills and cleared my head. Thankyou for the re-focus. I had no idea I was unintentionally so fortunate. I no longer feel like I need my head examined and I am now on the prowl for a Scenicruiser. You are quite the enabler, I hope I never have a drug problem and come to you! LOL...

Well, my degree is in psychology and I spent over 25 years in the Social work field so................................
My wife came home one day last spring and there was a 1952 4103 sitting in the driveway.....We already had the 1959 4104. I told her it just fell out of the sky and landed there. ;)

Besides I thought cadillac was a "Boss" (Bruce Springsteen) thing! ;)

Wow Josh, You are a lucky guy! A 102D3 with a series 60 ? Pretty sweet ! Of course I bought and built my bus before I discovered this forum. I didn't know the difference between a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke detroit.
I learned the hard way ! I have so much time and money invested in my bus that there is no turning back.
What I wouldn't give to have a bus that wasn't reduced to maybe 20 MPH on a steep hill with the temperature guage at 200 plus degrees and me sweating bullets.
Oh well. What are you gonna do? All things considered, I still love my bus!
Good Luck!

I can tell you with absolute certainty that NOBODY should ever personally own that many Cadillacs in a single lifetime!
