It seems that the hosting service that I use for the Help Assist List has been seriously hacked and thousands of sites have been defaced or worse erased. When I first got the notification email I checked the site and it seemed OK, but this week I have been trying to make some changes and I have found that all of my files have been erased, and the site is working off their companies cache only. I have sent apology letters to those requesting changes and to all if this creates any inconvenience I am very sorry. They are working hard to get me back up and running and I will keep you all posted with the results.
Thank you for understanding.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe just copy and paste the info into a new website at http://sites.google.com (http://sites.google.com) would be a better long term solution? Free and very easy to use. Good luck and thanks for the great resource.
Cheers, Paul.
Well I thought I had good news for everyone on the Help Assist List. As I said the servers were hacked last week and the hackers managed to viciously scramble all of the pages and files for thousands of users, The Help Assist List included.
We worked on the folders for the last few days and thought we had it fixed, I even sent e-mails to those that asked for some changes saying that I had made their changes.
I just logged on as an outsider and the files look OK but none of my upload changes are taking effect, apparently my uploads are still being re-directed to some unknown space and we are hard at work on it. I will bring you up to date as I have better new news.
Thank you for your patience and understanding, and I am so sorry if this has caused any inconvenience.

bump
Well here we are a full week later and still mired in a tangled mess of web hacking. I am off today and will spend time trying to get the Help Assist List to update. Fortunately you can still view the list if you are broken down or need help. I just can't make update changes. I'll keep you posted. (No pun intended.)

HOORRAY!!! It seems like the Help Assist List is back up and working. I am sorry for any problems this may have caused.
Let's hope they can find out who the hackers were that created this mess.

Second that! Thanks.
Could you post the link to that list.
I've accessed it in the past, but can't seem to find it now. I remember trying to add my own name, but it never happened. I'll go back an add my name to the list if I can find the list.
My gratitude to you also for your work in this.... it can be a valuable asset.
Dave
Happy to post the list, here goes:
www.help-assist-list.com (http://www.help-assist-list.com)
