Only a few short weeks away! I'm making this our first rally in 2 yrs. hoping to put faces to names on this forum. Been quiet here about rally so I though it was time to bring it up. Looks to me like allot of good people are trying to get this going with allot of hard work. I for 1 am planning on attending and having a good time with old and hopefully meeting new friends. Will be attending with wife Judy in our home done 89 prevost... Bringing swap and sell items also. Bob
I wish that I could make the trip, maybe next year.
Wish my bus was going to be road worthy in time but not this year. Sadest part is I am from Chattanooga and still have some family there. Maybe they will do it again next year and I'll be able to go.
We're going to be there, no running bus, but just the same I enjoy the people and the happenings. See ya!!!
Bob,
If you're gonna be coming through Roanoke, give me a heads up. I'll put on a pot of coffee, or a bag-o-meal, or something!
Dennis
I will be in Coburn on Monday Hi-Yo..............I will take a cup :P
Not to highjack Bob's thread, but I'm near Roanoke, VA.,not Indiana. After checking the map, looks like VA would not be along his path to Chattanooga either. 'Nuther time maybe. The offer always stands. Sorry for the oops.
Dennis
;D By rail? Dennis. Maybe this winter. Bob
To explain: Dennis HiYoSilver is a retired railroad guy. Bag -o-meal is just that a prepared meal you get in frozen food section at grocery. Bob
We've had this rally on our potential's calendar since it was announced - as we're really looking forward to our first (official) rally to soak up all sorts of knowledge and make new friends.
Unfortunately, it's not looking like we'll be that far across the country in time :(
Hope everyone who attends has a blast!
- Cherie
Hi all,
Robert, great to hear you will be there. ;D Looking forward to meeting you & of course seeing what you have for $ale. :D ;D
jsimp1960 glad to year you will be there as well - bus or no bus is A-OK for sure !
The more we find out attending the easier this is to work with the caterers, etc.. Numerous signups from the magazine community - looking good so far. Any who are attending from online community if you can post somewhere or drop Mike an email that would be great to help us plan food menu - quantities of meat and other good stuff. ;D Of course, best would be go ahead and register. It won't hurt & will be a blast. ;D
Looking forward to meeting all. Phil Lyons first bus rally. Whoo hoo.
Kind Regards, Phil
One thing I have noticed in the registrations - there will be lots of Eagles flocking here! Some, like Wayne Schell & Jim Shepherd, coming from way out in Rocky Mountain country. Eagles Intl. is even providing the coffee & donuts Saturday morning! Count me in!
So come on y'all with MCI's, GM's, Prevo's, Flxibles, and yes BK, even seated Setra's, don't miss out on all the fun the Eagle owners will be enjoying.
More info and registration forms can be found at www.BusConversions.com/rally/ (http://www.busconversions.com/rally/)
To make it harder to say no, here is a special offer, if your registration is postmarked by tomorrow (Sept. 28), you can deduct $20 off of the rally fee (does not include one-day passes).
Now as a further teaser, here are some YouTube samples of some of the entertainers that will be performing Saturday or Sunday evening. And a little birdie told me that if you watch X-Factor this week, you may notice one of these. Just sayin'...

The audio in this next one isn't great, but it I've seen them live and they are!

Dam, Dam, Dam wish we could be there. Allen Frizzel playing lefty's guitar in the style of Merle, don't get no better than that for me. I am sure those other entertainers will sure send you home with great weekend memories of this rally. I hope those that live close enough and with the sweet deal offered to anyone to sign up today realize that this rally just can't get better than that.

Ok Ok Ok.. we couldn't stand it. We just shuffled around our schedule, and are starting the journey to Chattanooga in the morning (we're currently in St. George, UT).
So, count a GM amongst the crowd!
- Cherie
Cool! Now we're talkin'!
Ok, now everyone in Dixie: Chris & Cherie are rerouting their drive all the way from Utah. Folks are coming in from Colorado, Arizona, Texas, the Great Plains, Midwest, Northeast, Southern Florida, even Canada & Mexico. A lot of folks here in the forum are within a 4 hour drive, some just an hour a way. You're not going to miss out on all the fun in your own back yard now are you?
We have lots of hookup sites available (the facility has 300 of them!). The weather here in mid October is usually about perfect. So register now and come join the party.

I have been working with Mike to offer anything I could help.
We will be vendors at the rally and will do some seminars. One of the seminars will be the reprise of the Engine Conversion rally that Sonnie Gray and I had a ball doing at a couple of Arcadia rallies. From what we could tell, the attendees had a good time and we had a great time. Part of the seminar is a slide presentation (mostly the information presented in the BCM serial article) and then we open it up to the audience for discussion of their experience as well as question and answer session.
Pat will be doing a seminar for the ladies: rubber stamped greeting cards. This is a seminar she has done at all of the FMCA rallies that we have attended. It is well attended and the ladies seem to have a lot of fun.
As noted in Sean's thread, Don Bowen and I will be doing a welding seminar. I was hesitant to do the hands-on part and Don did not want to do the "text book" presentation. With Don's vast background, I think it will be a great workshop. As noted, it will have hands-on segments. If you are going to attend, bring your welding helmet if you have one.
NOW FOR THE SOAPBOX RANT:
Mike has done a ton of work to plan this rally. Yes, he has had some help, but he has devoted a huge amount of time to make sure this will be a great rally.
As is always the case, rally organizers face a huge problem: folks who wait till the last minute to register. This really plays havoc with the planning process.
IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND, REGISTER NOW!!!
I havent been on the boards for quite a while, been too busy, and now I wish I hadnt looked today. I am so jealous of yall that get to attend this rally. We would love to be there. Oct is our last month of the year to work and make money, so, needless to say, that is what we have to do. If only it was November instead. :( Think I will wait til after the rally to look again, lol. This is the best combination ever for a rally, good music, and busses.
