Title: BUS NUT Q&A
Post by: boxcarOkie on September 23, 2011, 09:04:30 AM
This month's issue of Travel Life Magazine, published out of Fresno, California on the Left Coast Of America, which is mainly sold out of a Root n Scoot Qwick Trip on the corner of Eucalyptus and Vine in Bakersfield, has an interesting Question and Answer Article on page 23.  Here are a few excerpts from that article.

BUS NUT Q&A

You post a picture of a beautiful landscape somewhere in America.

A Normal Person:  This is a gorgeous shot!  Look at the majestic beauty, such grandeur.  Where was this taken?  Was it crowded over the holidays?

A Bus Nut:  You have five bugs on your windshield, I don't do two lanes.  Are there any hills?

You ask for directions to Yellowstone National Park.

A Normal Person:  You take the Interstate thru Denver to Laramie, Wyoming, and then go north to Jackson Hole, and then you are right outside the park. (Geographically speaking that is)

A Bus Nut:  The best way to go, gee I don't know, I will put up something on the board, surely someone will know.  I will get back to you.  I don't go more than fifty or a hundred miles from our house.

What are the highways in the area like?

A Normal Person:  Pretty good, state just laid new asphalt up on the pass, all the snow has melted off above 8,000 feet, here is the number for the State Highway Patrol.  Nice waterfall at milepost 27.

A Bus Nut:  Miserable, narrow, too many cars, at the top you will be belching all kinds of blue smoke.  9% downhill on the other side, pretty hairy.  You got a Jake?

Have you tried the new White Light Headlights and LED's available on today's market?"

A Normal Person:  Yes, we have they are really good, the intensity of them and the brightness is just incomparable.  The LED's have one characteristic we don't care for however, they will not produce enough heat to melt ice and snow.  But we think they are great.

A Bus Nut:  Yeah, we been runnin' em but performance aint all that great.  We take a 24 volt headlight and juice it up to 27-30 volts and it gets brighter than the face of the sun ... but that is only for a little while.  They been going faster than the desert tray at a Weight Watchers Meeting, I'll tell ya ... We drove from South Dakota to the westcoast without lights, now that was a trip, especially in the Safety Corridors where daylight headlights are required day or night, or you get a healthy ticket ... lucky for us, no speed cops and/or clouds that day.

Speaking of Weight Watchers?  Are you in good health these days?

A Normal Person:  I exercise regularly. I eat moderate amounts of healthy food. I make sure to get plenty of rest. I see my doctor once a year and my dentist twice a year. I floss every night. I've had chest x–rays, cardio stress tests, EKG's and colonoscopies. I see a psychologist and have a variety of hobbies to reduce stress. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't have crazy, reckless sex with strangers.

A Bus Nut:  I most always put a handkerchief over my nose when I am spray painting out in the shop.

Is it a good idea to run tires that are over twelve years old?

A Normal Person:  According to the latest data available it is not a good idea as tire compounds break down with age, and then normal road use produces flexing in the sidewalls, heat builds up and the blowouts occur.  This usually occurs somewhere between 50 and 100 miles from home.

A Bus Nut:  Shure, run 'em after dark, keep your speed below 45MPH and don't over inflate them, should be okay.  But to be on the safe side, always stay in the slow poke lane close to the shoulder.  We once run from way up north all the way to Kalifornia, and didn't even have to check 'em one time.

Are you worried about our economy and state of the nation?

A Normal Person:  Watching the market fall as precipitously as the hopes and dreams of Jessica Simpson and Charlie Sheen, I can't help but think that there one safe bet I can make right now. I have to trust in the simple inertia of a world economy created by hundreds of millions of people manufacturing and servicing stuff that other people need and want.

A Bus Nut:  I have been watching the market sink like a drug-addled hooker with vertigo, it's reasonable to assume that any new world order created by the complete collapse of the free market system will have little use for an unemployed typewriter repairman. For that reason I think it only prudent to hedge my bet. This weekend I plan on learning a few new survival skills, getting my sorry butt off the grid, learn how to forage for berries and hiding from people whose skill set includes shooting wildlife from helicopters.  Deep in my heart, I know, without a doubt, that I will never sell this thing or get the money out of it I put into it.  Have you seen my tape measure?

Do you practice any safe driving practices on the road or use a designated driver?

A Normal Person:  Yes I do, we try to adhere to all speed limits in effect, watch our mirrors at all times.  We make every effort humanely possible to see that we do not crowd anyone or upset them in any fashion.  We always use our turn signals and stay in the appropriate lane.  As for the designated driver thing, well, we have on occasion used them, but that was back when we were young and foolish.

A Bus Nut:  Hammer Down, Hammer Down, Hot Dog!  I got my hammer down.  Whut's up with all these ##@#*! blind spot signs on the back of trucks anyway?  I hate signs ... I mean ... Am I a truck or a car?  As for that other thing, well let me tell ya.  I would like to share an experience with you that has to do with drinking and driving.

As you might already know some of us have had brushes with the authorities on our way home in recent months from some of these here bus rallies.  Well I for one have done something about it. The other night I was out for a dinner and a few drinks with some friends.  Well, after having far too much vino and knowing full well I was wasted, I did something I've never done before. I took a bus home!!  I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise, as I had never driven a bus before.

Is that a new flashlight?

A Normal Person:  Why yes it is.  It's a the latest led flashlight, it was on sale at the Home Barn, half price.  It is supposed to be able to put blinding spotlight power in your hand.  It is reputed to be the most powerful handheld tactical self-defense flashlight around! This 15 Watt professional-quality flashlight features five 3 Watt Cree™ LED bulbs that deliver super-bright 900 Lumens, the equivalent of 5 high-powered flashlights in a single beam. Ultra-bright light is viewable for over one mile! Extra-thick aluminum body provides strength and durability, and can deliver a serious blow to assailants if needed. Anodized finish for scratch and corrosion resistance, just like a bus. Features front and rear O-ring seals and a serrated front edge for breaking glass and self defense. Two Lion rechargeable batteries and charger included.  Built in timer, if you want coffee first thing in the morning.

A Bus Nut:  Never trust your luck to a flashlight.  Don't fall for a woman who has had intimate relations with one of your rock n'roll heroes (No matter how emotionally evolved you think you are, you will never enjoy listening to Buddy Holly again).  Don't lurk around web sites where people comment about your bus work or mechanical abilities unless you're drunk. Don't use emoticons. You're too old to communicate like a twelve-year old girl.  Don't forget that you are the product of a culture that went stark raving mad about ten thousand years ago. Don't answer critics questions about the residents of Washington D.C. or the state of the nation in the Off Topic Section ... It's a trap.  Never, ever, eat anything bigger than your head (True in the sixties, true today).  Behind every bus nut stands his woman .... Usually looking at the ceiling and rolling her eyes!  One more thing ... Don't believe that "crapp" that you're as young as you feel. Your feelings lie, and the right lane will be closed in fifteen hundred feet (for no apparent reason).  Adjust your thinking accordingly, and always trust in your kerosene lantern.

That 'bout sum it up?*

DISCLAIMER:  Now you do realize that all of this was tongue and cheek and there is no such place named the Left Coast Of America, dontcha?  Opinions expressed in this post are somewhat educational (I-Don't-think-so-dot-com) and informational in nature and are directed only at individual Bus Nuts based on their specific make, model and unique circumstances.  The material provides general educational information only to the reading audience.  For advice appropriate to your specific situation, please go to Off Topic.  Reprints of this post are strictly prohibited by the NFL and any resemblance to anyone living or dead, was probably on purpose.[/]

Later, have a good weekend.

;D ROAD TRIP!! ;D

(https://busconversionmagazine.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi582.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fss263%2Fboxcarokie%2Fyou-want-it-when-cartoon.jpg&hash=799f0034e1f31b607459d27bfc47c7c6aa979e09)

Road trip?  That is rich my friend.

Life has a real bad habit of repeating itself.  It occurred to me today, "that I am right back where it was that I started, and I have been down this road before."  I find myself wishing for something that I do not have, for that elusive thing, that will fill the gap in my spirit and bring me a small measure of happiness.

Five or six years ago, before my leap into the bus community and bus ownership, this is where I was.

Sitting in my favorite chair ... Often late at night, I would pour over the ad's of buses for sale, search the internet in vain for that elusive prize, wonder what it would be like to not only own one of these beauties, but to drive one on a road trip.

Now I am somewhat jaded in that respect, I know what it entails, I know what it costs, I know in the end, the price one must pay in order to live this fantasy.  This is as they say ... Not my first rodeo.

All this I might add was back in the day, when I was only ignored by one .... my wife.

But we all know, it isn't that easy to find a workable dream these days, and the majority of us, will never even come close to experiencing the fulfillment it represents.  So we pine away the days, and the weeks, hoping for a change in our status, which quite frankly, most of the time, doesn't materialize.

Not that long ago, I was talking to a friend of mine about his trips, his coach, what it is that he likes what he dislikes (Larry who owns, maintains and drives a Newell Coach).  He told me that after an extended trip in his coach, that when he did get home, he wanted to park it and not even look at it for a period of two to three weeks.

That he was most of the time ... "sick of it."
Which is where I seem to be.  I don't believe a road trip is the answer, it goes much deeper than that.  A road trip, for the most part, is one reason I find myself here where I am.  Having my fair share of road trips, breakdowns, resource depletion and disappointments, I have discovered that it has taken away from my quality of life, not added to it.

And much like my friend ... I find for the most part ... I am sick of this bus.

Toby Keith wrote a song entitled "How Do You Like Me Now?" and everyone swore it was a song directed towards one of his ex-girlfriends in high school.

He later commented that it was not so ... It was just a song.

Everything in life doesn't have to have a point.

"And much like my friend ... I find for the most part ... I am sick of this bus."

I feel your pain.  Being as how I hate to see a fellow bus nut in pain I have a solution.  Give me the bus as soon as possible.  No need to keep suffering. You can deliver the bus to me any time.  I will pay for your airfare home and even cook you dinner :)   Just give me a call to let me know when to expect  you.

I've had a few breakdowns in the almost 8 years of owning our Silver Eagle. I just prefer to make lemonade out of lemons. I wish I had started 30 years ago, oh the memories, good or bad. 8) It's about making friends for us, and there is no better way in my opinion! :)

Nothing personal Paul, but get out and about, do 6,000 to 12,000 miles a year or more, instead of sitting in a RV Park and we will see how good your old Eagle does on the breakdown side of life.  Sitting in a campground week in and week out, doesn't lead to breakdown issues, traveling does.

If my memory serves me right, the last time you took yours out, it shelled out a wheel seal, and you were not "singing praises and lemonade about it." I guess that comes under the "good or bad memories part of your comment" eh?

I want something that is dependable and reliable, not worn out platitudes.

On another note:  Some guy out of New York contacted me on my website and was looking for info on his Eagle, I referred him to EI and you specifically, believe his name is Fred?

Hey BCO,

Sorry for your problems.  You just gotta give it some time and you will be ready to go again.  I have had my bus for about a 1yr 1/2.  We have put about 5k miles on it so far.  My bus looks no where close to the quality of yours but it is mine and it is fun.  It still has all the windows in it with two 2 a/cs on top.  I can sleep seven very easily.  One of our last trips I was in it with 6 girls.  My wife, 2 daughters,  her friend and her two daughters.  Of course I was there to run the bus etc.  We had a ball.  I have tons of things I am wanting to do to it.  I just bought 11 cabinets for it.  I am about to rip the kitchen out and redo.  Anyway.....to my point of this response.  You have spent a tremendous amount of time, money and energy on your bus.  You have met many people because of your bus.  You give some good advise and write some nice articles here even though you say some ignore you.  While you may be hitting a low point in bus ownership right now.....would you really change what you have experienced with it.  I would bet the answer may be that...it is priceless.  The limited amount of time I have used mine has been priceless.  My kids LOVE the bus.  They want me to dive it to walmart just so they can ride in it.  You know what....sometimes I do!! ;D Anyway....While it may be wearing on you for now.....TAKE A BREAK....you may even have to take a complete break from the forum as well.  I do not want you to leave...but some of these stories I have been reading lately from many on this forum has made me question my purchase sometimes.  However.....Even though I have had some issues with mine....It still gives me a smile when I look at it, drive it, work on it, or just talk about it.  Believe it or not....I even enjoyed it when I was polishing the S&S on my MCI9 and the grinder caught fire in my hands.  No harm done.  But hey...I do have a story.

I hope you can find a way to figure out how to get the joy of that bus back inside of you.  You have a beautiful coach.  And just think...You could sell it..not get what you would want/need for it, and then start looking for another one to buy and make your own again.  Pretend you don't own one for a month and then go back out to that nice barn you have, sit in your chair chair and enjoy.  Then take her for a spin and remember way you have it.  Good luck.  Hope you keep it and stick around.

James

Hey BCO,

Sorry for your problems.  You just gotta give it some time and you will be ready to go again.  I do not want you to leave...but some of these stories I have been reading lately from many on this forum has made me question my purchase sometimes.
James

James, when I polish, I run one until it gets hot, then lay it down in front of the fan (to cool off) and grab another one and keep right on trucking.  I did however set myself on fire with a 4" grinder about three years ago.  Nasty.

There are times I seriously wonder if I was even sane when I bought this bus, when I bought the two before it, and when I get really down ... oh well?  Yeah, I know what you are saying.  Please understand that I'm under a lot of pressure to respond to certain statements I have made about me and my old hoopie recently. The following are my uncensored thoughts.

This could put an end to any further speculation.

I believe that consciousness creates the illusion of individuation, the false feeling of being separate. In other words, I am aware, ergo I am alone. I further believe that this existential misunderstanding is the prime motivating force for the neurotic compulsion to blot out consciousness. This explains the paradox of our culture, which celebrates the ego while simultaneously promoting its evisceration with drugs and alcohol.

It also clarifies our deep-seated fear of monolithic, one-minded systems like communism, religious fundamentalism, zombies and invaders from other planets outside our system (to be named later).  Each one is a dark echo of an oceanic state of unifying transcendence from which consciousness must, by nature, flee.

The Fall from Grace is, in fact, a Sprint from Grace.  Or even better yet, "some people respond under pressure well and even do it with a certain amount of grace." (Believe Paul called it Patience?)  Then there are folks like the Boxcar where it comes down to one simple thing ... "Screw Grace, I am so outta here!"

Questions?

Here is the rub James.  It is too damn valuable to sell and it aint worth nothing if you do ... So whadya do?  I worked on it Saturday fixing some stuff, was out there all day.  The saga continues ...

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.

Here is one you can relate to.  This past Saturday, I had my bride out in the shop, jiggling wires (in order for me to locate the bad feed wire that was causing all of my problems in that spaghetti mix we call the electrical panel). As I am tremendously good at "dual tasking" we were talking and I said to her, "When I get this suspension problem fixed, we need to run it out about 800 miles and back to make sure everything is in good working order."

She then looked at me like a wary, one-eyed cat in a fish market and said, "Yeah?  Well, let me know when YOU get back."

Man, talk about a vote of NO confidence, and then they wonder why it is that we die first?

24,630 views in 31 posts (which averages out to about 800 views per post), spread over the same amount of pages during the year, it comes to about one post every 4 days or so (on average), there are some instances where I didn't post anything for 20 pages or so.

Like it or not boys, I generate a lot of interest and traffic for your little world you are so eager to protect and covet.

I don't know what your problem might be, I see a good sized body of work that is in some cases informative, interesting and at times, entertaining.  Why you two crybabies want to make an issue of it is beyond me.  http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=21683.0 (http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=21683.0)

By the way, ONE PERSON is moving the majority of this (not my stuff all of it), I will give you three guess'es who it is, and the first two don't even count.

Like my mama was fond of saying, "The proof is in the pudding."  You be the judge.

For the life of me I cannot understand what is so important with the views and replies on these post, just keep doing your thing Don some of your post I enjoy reading some I don't real simple process for me.

I understand where the guys are coming from the BNO got to be a mess with all BS about nothing Ian changed that now but I think it cost him waiting so long  you go to the search function there now and type in penguin lol  and the mod's are trying their best to keep that from happening here.

Then I understand your point of view you spend time doing your writings for people to enjoy to have those moved,we have the same thing on the Eagles board now they didn't want your stories posted then the one about hemorrhoids or what ever stayed, now we have one about a 10k run and that is ok by me because it is for a cause but as they say on Fox New let's be fair and balanced about this lol some take life and these boards way to serious.

The only time I get upset with you is when you start bashing the Eagle club because of the few you have trouble with and I am proud of you that doesn't happen here now so keep on with what you do best and what makes you and others happy and let the chips fall were ever there is no way you are going to please everyone why worry about it

I am off my box now and back to shop

good luck

Don,  first I will say that like Clifford and others, some of your stories I enjoy, some just aren't for me.  No problem, that is entirely natural.  Different strokes, different folks.

As I have told you before, your posts are welcome in the BCM forum, and neither I nor the moderating team have a problem with link backs to your site.  But they do need to be in the right board.  If it really is bus or bus life related then by all means, it can be on the main board, other wise it really does need to be in the Off Topics board.

BUT, without any disrespect to your writings, I feel that it is necessary to point out that to be bus or bus life related, it really needs to be about buses or bus life.  It can't just unrelatedly mention a bus and then the whole rest of it be non-bus.

I realize that can be a fine line since many of us tend to rebuild most of our life around our buses.  A trip to the grocery store can suddenly be about buses because "there is a Harbor Freight down the block and I need a new rivet gun".  But you are an intelligent man and with an understanding of the intent of the main board vs. Off Topic board you will know where each story needs to be.

Clifford nailed it on the head (like he generally does).  The moderating team does not want to see the main board fall into the kind of off-topic chaos that truly does offend some of the members and it impacts search results for the newbies trying to find information.

It got bad here once, and that is why the Off-Topic board exists.  We all saw the struggle our friends at BNO just went through with off-topics and Ian chose to take a similar approach.  I think there is a strong affirmation in that all the major forums and groups have had to either banish any off topic posts or create a separate board for them.

Last point, and it is an important one.  Paul is not acting alone in moving your posts or in removing a couple lines from your post today.  He has done so with the knowledge and support of the moderating team and enforcing the rules and guidelines that are designed to keep this a great place for everyone to enjoy.  Any Moderator can act on posts, but then we have a backroom where the team discusses actions taken and if further action or remedial action is needed, then it is handled.

Yes, Paul has taken most of the actions.  He is simply the one that has had the most time of the forum lately.  I know there is a history carrying over from conflicts on the Eagle forum.  But that is not at play here.  With only a couple exceptions you have done well at leaving that baggage outside when you come in here.  Paul has done the same.

In closing, I hope you stay and continue entertaining and invoking thought here.  But please do keep the intent of the boards in mind when selecting which one each post goes on.  And like we ask of everyone, please don't pee in the pool.  ;)  (a.k.a. don't pollute the community with infighting and hostility)  Let's just get back to enjoying the pleasures of being bus nuts among friends who understand our passion for buses.

Don,

The reason why I posted the topic explaining Off Topic and Bus Discussion was in relation to a post made by another member. The topic he posted was not bus related at all and I moved it. It was to help keep the main bus board on target. Frankly I had not even thought of you when I wrote it. I had hoped it would be taken as a general statement to everyone, especially New Members. It is one of the things us moderators have to do from time to time. No member is favored over another.

I think Mike has said it in a better way than I could have.

Keep writing Don, you have a great talent.  8)

As with all things, there is always a natural progression, in the military it is called "The Chain of Command" (I read all about it on a bus once ... that should cover the bus issue of all this).  So one more time, I will run it up the flagpole, you can salute it or not.

People here are really good at missing the point.  The point was not the posts being moved, it was the whining about it and then singling me out and pointing me towards the Off Topic verbiage to begin with.  That has been conveniently edited out by Mr. Lawry, that offender is now nowhere to be seen.

I put up a post, Len interjects a comment to the effect about it being political in nature, and says, "here comes off topic for sure" and the next day ... bingo.  It is in off topic.  I make a remark about it in the comments and then the Lawry Off Topic post goes up.  Then Mr. Lostagainwhatever his name is, asks me to link to Lawry's post.

Seemed to me at that point in the game that I was being singled out as some kind of All Topic's offender or something.  Now Mike, here is the edited out bottom line, I come on here and find some guy who cannot even put a sentence together or half-way spell most of it when he does, telling me where to go.

Now Lawry is back pedaling about it being someone else (most likely to be named at a later date), kind of like the old Internet Bully Gambit, as I remember, it was a total mystery and a big hit too.

Well now today the powers that be, and Clifford, take time to show me where I am on the food chain.  Lawry went into the post and cut some of it out and edited it.  They collectively seem to believe I was irritated because of the moving of some posts, which is not the case at all.  I was irritated because they were singling me out as some kind of big offender (as I saw it) and that kind of got me irritated to some extent.

Plus all the whining about it.

All this useless crap goes up in All Topics every day of the week, but mine has to be letter perfect and to the T?  ...  It is all BS, and I can lay you even money there is a post on there right now, that it isn't about buses and it is not being made into a federal case or being moved. Not that I do not hold any sympathy for the person who put it up, I do, but he is the most recent one I can think of.

Just like Clifford pointed out, there was a lot of flack at EI about posting off topic (in my case) and then after I leave they post about everything under the sun EXCEPT buses.  They are still doing it, but if that is their bag, then I say let 'em have it.  Mike you asked me to not mention them again, and I kept my end of the bargain about it.

We seem to be really covering our hinny's on this one aren't we?  Big team effort ... So boys, spin it anyway you want. Frankly I just don't see it myself.  As I am not into majoring in minor things, I am allowing this to wither on the vine. Realistically, what other choice do I have?  I don't have unrealistic expectations about BCM but at the very least, I always thought it might kind of be "fair" but it appears I was in error.

Now everyone form a moderator committee and give yourself a big group hug and then feel free to hack this up, delete it or any other thing that rows your collective boat.  Unlike some "I don't have to be right to be happy in life."  It won't upset me in the least.

Oh well, you win a few and you lose a few, and some of them mothers, they just burn to the ground.  So ... See you on the boulevard ... try and stay outta my blind spot.

Us busnuts have to stick together :) Hope you reconsider BCO. I've been a member of a specific car forum since 2001 and have had various gentle headbumps, (so gentle they didn't even hurt) but it's the internet. I'll likely never meet half the people I come into "virtual" contact with here...so I really try to take my real relationships and friendships with my physical loved ones a little more seriously than I do the internet ones.  :)

I talked to him today (via email) and he seemed pretty set in his decision to leave.  I would not look for his return any time soon.  At least that is my take on all of this.  Personally, I would like to see hi m come back he was an interesting kind of guy.

This isn't my first rodeo as far as blogs go. I really do enjoy Don and his posts and actually get them from him regardless of this forum and sure hope to continue such. It's strange how folks take issues over petty stuff over an internet forum and I am guilty as charged myself. The truth be told most of us would never intend such directly face to face. But it is what it is. I even remember a motorcycle forum I was on that a certain individual had several alias's and would post using various names to back himself up. Sad but true. I come here to learn and offer some input when I feel qualified but as with most forums I have grown to be wary of offering to much advise not wanting to get flamed by certain individuals. Thicker skin, cheaper diesel and free tires would sure make it easier around here!! ;D ;D Sure hope Don changes his mind.

Nice to discover I have been missed.  Every now and then, I will come over here and "look around."  No big deal, also I might add at this time, that I seem to be doing it less and less these days.  And that is a good thing, as I understand it.  Today I celebrate my first whole week of being BCM impaired, and I seemed to have survived it and feel just swell.  (If anyone cares.)  I also feel or understand that I'm under a lot of pressure to respond to certain statements made about me recently.

The following are my uncensored thoughts. I hope this will put an end to any further speculation.

I believe that consciousness creates the illusion of individuation, the false feeling of being separate. In other words, I am aware, that in my particular way of thinking I am alone at times. I have no axe to grind, nor do I seek or solicit unwarranted criticism.  I further believe that this existential misunderstanding of my goals or thinking is the prime motivating force for the neurotic who also hang out here and their compulsion to blot out my consciousness and/or opinion.

But that is another post altogether.

This might explain the paradox of our culture, which celebrates the ego while simultaneously promoting its evisceration with drugs and alcohol. It also clarifies our deep-seated fear of monolithic, one-minded systems like communism, religious fundamentalism, zombies and a few random internet sites, which will remain un-named at this point in time. (As I understand it, these are topics that are taboo ... So I won't bring them up)

So I am weaning myself off of internet sites. (Hello, my name is Don.  I am an internet bus junkie) My very own 12 step program to good mental health, no more bus boards.  Some of us are geared for it and some of us are not.  I suppose I identify with the latter.

Internet sites which I find are somewhat like a dark echo of a state of unifying transcendence from which consciousness must flee.  One thing has become apparent to me personally this week is this:  "When things no longer seem humorous, and your only desire is to lash out instead of poke fun at the sublime and ridiculous, then it is time to depart."  This is why I have decided to work on my webpage (www.boxcarokie.com (http://www.boxcarokie.com)) and leave the rest of this alone.  It was apparent to me that something had to give, unfortunately, it was me.

In hindsight I should have just shared a link (something appropriate like You Can't Fix Stupid by Ron White) with the offending person and been done with it.  In that respect, I kind of blew it.  Should have just passed on the entire deal but I did not and then like a snowball rolling downhill it just kind of got out of control from there on out.

That is often the case, I hear the voice in my head that speaks to me during critical situations such as this, but unfortunately, it is all in German and I have no one to translate for me.  While we are at it?  I have only one identity, any more than that, and I would be overwhelmed.

B'sides, it would waste the me that I already is.

Perhaps like Icarus I lost my center and fell from Grace?  (he didn't really fall from grace, he flew too close to the sun, his wings melted and fell from the sky, for all my critic's who happen to be reading this)  So in my case the Fall from Grace is, in fact, a Sprint from Grace. Or perhaps more accurately, "Screw Grace, I am so outta here!"

Now it is time to release you all to your amusements, check please .....
