I need some advise on locating some air operated wiper motors for my 85 eagle model 15. The tag says sprague model b27 is all i can read. Where can I find a replacement?
There is some for sale on the Eagles board www.eaglesinternational.net (http://www.eaglesinternational.net) Coach Service in Sharon KS,or Jefferson in OKC will have rebuilt ones but check with Boomer here or the Eagles board he buys electric conversions from AM Equipment in Or for about what it cost for rebuilt air wipers
good luck
Is it cheaper to convert the air wipers on my 85 model 15 eagle to electric than to repair the air operated ones I have now?
Rebulid kits run maybe $75 each. Not a bad job. Since you have to take out air motors to do the conversion then a third of the rebuild job is done. I rebuilt the GM Buffalo wipers. A two day job to complete. First motor took forever, well all morning. Second motor was done in less than hour and reinstalled. Change out the control valves when doing the rebuild and all the air lines. Remember, as my friends can attest 'not a mechanic'.
Whereas a conversion to electric in the $600 range and up. I have seen kits for $1200 for Eagles from IBP.

As you know the model 15 the wiper motors are not that hard to remove they come out from the front easy replacement with electric wipers and arms you can buy those at a truck wrecking yard we did Dicks for 40 bucks with the wiper motors, switches and wet arms from a class a motor home that had a top mounted system there wasn't much to it, now a 05 and 10 that is a different story lol
good luck
Where can I get the rebuild kits for my air wiper motors..I already have one out of the bus and would like to rework it before I put it back in. I have looked for the kits but have not been able to locate them. Who sells the repair kits?
