Hey guys,
I am missing one of the circular knobs to turn on the windshield wipers and someone stole my transmission dipstick (who does that?). Anyway is there a website or someone I should call to order these parts? I have an MCI 102C3 by the way.

on small speciality items like what you are like you mentioned .MCI is best; get the right part without allot of searching and time. on the more high dollar items shop. Start with the spare parts section on this site.

Well now that Don has ruptured something at both of yours expense. (pun intended, glad to see he's laughing about it now!)
On the wiper knobs I think I have what ya need on one we parted out. (I'll have to get up to Union City and see)
As for the trans dipstick. Hmp "who does that?" Well apparently a bunch of people!
Out of the 3 MCI's we've owned and the 1/2 dozen my uncle owned I guess I've replaced 7 or 8 of them.
Now here is the catch, what MCI sends you is a generic length dipstick an it's up to you to measure, cut & mark it the length an levels you need.
They don't do the "what is your VIN, OK here is the correct dipstick for that application."
And the reason they don't is because these buses see so many changes over the years there is no telling who,when or ,where someone swapped transmissions, or the dipstick neck, or what ever.

Here lately I have been seeing where some knot-head walks by a fifth wheel and jerks out the pin and the poor unsuspecting owner attempts to drive off the next morning and ka-boom. Down on the bed. Saw about four of them in the last three months, people do some pretty lousy things anymore.

It would seem easy to get those parts in the help section at the auto parts. You may need to buy enough nobs to mach but you probably would want all new shiny ones anyway. Should be no problem getting the dipstick if you have to mark and cut yourself.
Are you guys sure the dipstick thieves are not one and the same who leave them sitting on the bumper??

Gus, that is exactly what I was thinking, and what I can capable of doing. Not yet, but with my memory going faster and faster, I can getting there soon !!!!
I would think the best place to get a dipstick would be your local Allison dealer if you have one nearby. They can probably look at your transmission model number and serial number to cut a dipstick to the proper length. I am making an assumption you have an Allison transmission.
As to the comments about vandals unlocking trailer hitches a lot of people are locking their hitches once connected for this very reason. I've never had a fifth wheel so I don't know if a simple walk around at every stop would catch an unlatched hitch or not.

Most likely would, as for myself, I have learned (albeit the hard way) to be more observant.

Thanks everyone, and yes I thought I might of been one of those "left it on the bumper" vandals but the whole tube was bent, and I wouldn't have done that. Anyways I will check to see if there is a local Allison dealer. Thanks!
