Bus Nuts Technomadia is coming to St. George RV Resort in Hurricane, Utah. Cherie and Chris will be teaching a couple classes next week. The topics are to be anything related to mobile tech, living on the road, working on the road, etc. This is a great opportunity to attend free classes that could enhance your Tech Life on the road. Call us at 1-435-879-2212
Christi and I are looking forward to meeting them. M&C
Is anyone local that has a set of bus ramps we can use next week?
If so, we will treat you to a dinner and a show here at St. George RV Resort.
M&C ;D
M&C,
Thanks again for the great rally you hosted in the spring.
Do you have a date certain for the "class"? I have a busy schedule the whole next week. I have a set of ramps available but I don't know if I will be able to make it down to St. George or not. Please share specifics and I'll see if I can put something together. I'm always interested in anything to do with a 4106 especially if Clifford touched it.
BTW I live in Cedar City.
Looks like they will arrive this Monday and the topics and dates are as follows;
Living and Working on the Road on Tue at 6pm and
The Promise of Lithium Ion Battery Technology for RV Use on Thur at 1:30pm?
We can keep them fairly open ended as well, and do them more as a Q&As depending upon who is there and what they want.
And looks like fellow busnuts, Ben & Karen, will be following us up there later in the week. So you'll get to meet them too. They're working on converting a 1962 Flxible Starliner, but are currently living in a 40' Prevost.
M&C ;D
Christi just told me that we will serving finger food and snacks during the classes..... "FOR FREE!!!"
Give us a call if any of you guys can make it. 1-435-879-2212 M&C Open to the Public
Michael it's easy to build a set of ramps from 2X12's
start by cutting 2-48'ers, 2-36"ers, 2-30"ers, 2-24"ers, 2-18"ers, and 2-12"ers. (if done right you should be able to do this out of 3 12' 2X 12's with left overs or 3.5 8'ers)
Just use drywall screws to hold them together.
;D BK ;D
Thank you BK. M&C
We have arrived to a very warm and friendly welcome from Michael at St. George RV Resort today, and looking forward to being here for a week or two. We're also greatly looking forward to our talks. If those dates/times don't work for folks in the area - come on by anytime that does work. We're always up for bus geeking :)
And yes, our friends Ben & Karen of http://www.creativecruiser.com (http://www.creativecruiser.com) will be joining us this week as well.

Technomadia just did an outstanding job on living on the road & working on the road. We had a nice group and Cheis and Cherie answered alot of ?'s. It was a hit and we can't wait for the talk on Thursday!
***Bob, they are still in Ramona, Ca. We had a friend pick up our stuff for us but they were lift in storage.

Looks like Technomadia is going to stay for another week and add two more classes/talks here at St. George RV Resort, Utah. Topics to follow. M&C
****I'll keep the coffee pot on for you Don. ;D
Here's some descriptions for next week's talks to start pimping out:
Boondocking Basics: Affordable Off-Grid Living
Description: Boondocking is a great way to stay in remote locations, or just to save money by not paying for camping. Chris and Cherie will go over how to find boondocking locations as well as how to be prepared to maximize your experience.
Keeping Connected: Mobile Internet Options
Descriptions: Technomads Cherie & Chris will go over a wide array of internet options that can be used while RVing, exploring their costs, advantages and considerations. Cellular data, satellite and public wifi options will be discussed.
Cherie Ve Ard & Chris Dunphy of Technomadia have been living and working on the road full time since 2006, and consider themselves technomads (technology enabled nomads). They run their software & technology consulting business as they explore the country and beyond in a geeked out vintage bus. They enjoy sharing how to make it possible just because it's fun, and blog regularly about similar topics at www.technomadia.com (http://www.technomadia.com).
Dates and times to follow M&C
-Bus-
we should be in Sunday afternoon. Hope to stay Sun and Mon nite. Prolly see Zion Mon. Then off to Grand Canyon and points beyond. Unexpected week off so we want to wander some. Sheila has never been to southern Utah or Arizona.
Don & Sheila
Fantastic news, Don & Sheila! Looking forward to meeting you both... and Sheila is going to have a great time exploring this area. Absolutely beautiful.
(Just how many buses does it take to consider it a rally? :) )
- Cherie
Well, the largest official rally we were at had 171, and the smallest one had 4. ;D
