Well I finally got around to removing all of the otr ac and heat equipment from under the bus. Took about 4 hours, used most of my tools, and involved my truck and a chain! Now I've gained another half bay, which will finally allow me to get all of my tools out of the bus. My girlfriend is really happy about that! She was even out there helping me! Most of it was unusable, I did manage to get the blower motor out in one piece. I'll be testing it this evening after I clean up the mess. That motor is huge! If it works, I'll have to figure out a good use for it. Any ideas? I've never seen a 12v motor that big before.
It's cool you and your gal are working together on it. Pictures are work a 1000 words... what's the stuff you pulled out look like? Did you find any artifacts from 50 years ago in there?
If you like the size of that motor wait till you see how much power it uses.
Yeah I can't think of any good use for the motor. Too high of an amp draw. Guess its getting scrapped too. I know that the condensor is aluminum. Is the heater core also, or copper?
