Dear Friends,
We are happy to report that we safely crossed the embattled regions of northern Mexico and made it to Laredo, Texas. This is the first leg of our trip to deliver our daughter to Madison, Wisconsin.
Apparently, the 52 deaths in the casino in Monterrey (drug cartel people shot up the place and set it on fire) a few days back brought hundreds of federal police and army people to this area, so it was VERY well protected.
Thanks to all who prayed and to the good Lord for His traveling mercies. My wife is speaking in La Feria, TX this weekend at a women's conference, and I will be across the border in Reynosa doing a pastors' conference Saturday, and again Sunday for a united church service, where several churches come together.
Then Monday or Tuesday, we are North-bound and down.
We are glad to hear yall are safe. I used to travel the border all the time especially during hunting season. Right now there is no way you could push me across that border.
Welcome to Texas! I had not heard about the casino incident. A friend of mine showed me some pics of the cartels work. Prayers to the good people of Mexico. Yall were brave to make that trip.
Stay safe and my prayers are with you. Watch out in Madison, there are some kooky people there but that's all too typical in a liberal college town. If you're passing thru Milwaukee on I-94 and I see your bus, I will be sure to wave.
Safe travels and success in the goals of your trip.
Crabby they didn't get to bring the bus this trip. They weren't as far along with it as he'd planned to be. hmmm where have we heard that before ? LOL (wasn't the first busnut to miss a time line! Won't be the the last!)
;D BK ;D
Dr. Steve,
That is great to hear. I was praying for you all.
Did you get my PM?
Thanks,
John
Thanks Busted Knuckle. I guess I missed that part.
