Title: Is this worth pulling out? Junk S&S parts.
Post by: demodriver on August 28, 2011, 07:21:46 PM
OK the last junk rv that I started to gut I took all of the wiring out and the converter(Im not sure if thats the proper name) out. I temporarly have this in my bus to run the AC and to have a few plug ins in it.

Now I have bought another junk RV for the AC off of the roof. It has this (see pic below).  Is it worth pulling out? I will be completly dismantling this thing anyways for scrap so I will be removing but it just depends on what manner I remove it. I know these parts are old so I was thinking maybe a spare?

Input aprecciated.

Junk. I wouldn't bother. An old battery charger would be kinder to your batteries than that thing.

If you plan on using 12 V hook it direct to your 12 v batteries I never used a converters those are just a 3 amp charger not much

This may sound crazy but I dont plan on using a battery bank.  So if thats all that its good for I will junk it.
