I went to the shop today and picked up the bus. I swear somebody lifted the radiator cap and drove a new bus under it before putting it back on. Absolutely a different ride ;D I punched the brakes at 50 mph and she stopped on a dime leaving a penny for a tip. No more knocking when I hit a bump.
Clifford I measured the aluminum in the rear bay. It has 11 inches of clearance when it should be 14. I can see clearly now what you all were telling me. It makes perfect sense. The tags aren't carrying what they are supposed to be carrying.
It was funny when I picked up the bus the mechanic and I were talking. I tried to explain to him how it gets adjusted. His answer was there is no adjuster in there and it casn't be done. My answer was, oh yes there is. He came back with "Well we aint doing it here". I just smiled and said thank you. What he doesn't know is he aint touching my suspension. A tire is one thing the suspension is another.
When I picked up my bus from having the brake shoes and drums it was totally different. I almost put myself through the windshield at the first stop sign as the brakes were 100% better.
I know exactly what your saying. I didn't realize they were that bad before. I will have to do a yearly brake check from now on.
Wayne, something you have to watch is if the rear gets to low the the bogies carry all the weight not good once Sonnie get its were it supposed to be it will stay there a long time
good luck
I am definately headed to Sonny. I could use a couple days of R and R at the Casino. Then again it will be duck season when I go up there. Hmmm my wheels might be slow but they are turning.
