Title: Floor Space of an MCI 102A3, 102C3 or D Series?
Post by: IAmCanadian on August 11, 2011, 08:34:50 PM
I have looked all around online but I haven't been able to figure out what the actual floor space of either the 102A3, 102C3 or a D series MCI coach is.

Does anyone here who has one of those buses and went through the planning stages know what the standard available width and length is?

Thanks!
John

John -

All three are 102" wide and 40' long overall.  "C" and "D" models have a 3" taller roof line, thus no need for a roof raise project.  "DL" models are 45' long, as are the "E" and "J" MCIs.

Early production "A" models have a mechanical door closer mechanism that can make you sing soprano if you happen to be standing the wrong way in the vestibule area when a gust of wind catches the door.

Interior dimensions are about 3" narrower, and only about 37' inside (dashboard to rear bench seat wall).

FWIW & HTH. . .
