Title: Can anybody give me some info on a Rockwell transmission?
Post by: Mex-Busnut on August 11, 2011, 05:21:34 PM
Dear Friends,

It is a Rockwell model 166-09, nine-speed. I am wondering what the gear ratios might be and how it would work behind my mechanical 6V92TA. It appears that a lot of newer buses down here (with the larger engines) have them.

I tried a Google search, and found nothing.

Thanks in advance!

I have that transmission in a fert. floater truck behind an M11. I do not know the ratios but it is closer gear spacing then our Eaton transmissions, better suited for off road applications I have allways thought.
