Title: Anyone know where to find this lock? (See pic attached)
Post by: belfert on August 09, 2011, 07:40:50 AM
I have four exterior doors on my bus that are secured with a lock that gets turned 1/8 to 1/4 turn to trip the latch.  I need two replacement locks since one is totally siezed and no lube has helped to free it up.  The other lock has been missing since I bought the bus.  My first option is to find some off a junked Dina, but I'm not hopeful.

MCI wants $98 for a replacement lock plus another $12 for the key.  This seems awful steep for a simple lock.  Has anyone seen a lock like this anywhere?  There are four slots around the hole to keep the lock from rotating.  I tried a large locksmith and they had no ideas.

The brand name on the lock is "Foriner", but I can't find any information on this manufacturer.  There is a part number, but I can't make it out 100%.  Thanks for any help on this.

Try hafeleonline.com.  If they don't have a source,  it doesn't exist.  Search for cam lock.  I go a catalog from them we use like a reference book.

I wonder where one could buy one of these?  I could try to get a free sample I suppose.  My suspicion is that it would spin in the hole since my hole is round.

I'm tempted to order one lock from MCI and then see if I can figure out who makes it to see if I could get it for less somewhere.
