Title: Eagle at Tour de France
Post by: Kwajdiver on July 22, 2011, 07:39:12 PM
Hello Busnuts, I'm alive and still living busless on a small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Did anyone happen to catch a glimps of the blue Silver Eagle parked on the side of the road during yesterday's Tour de France?  It was a real quick shot.

Yea!  ;D  I'm not going crazy....( I am but that's another story) What a strange place for an American made bus to be.  It was converted, I'm sure.....

That was a MOL built Eagle they built 50 of those before stopping production in 1983 0r some where around there it was named the Transcontinental had a Cat engine look like a 05 but had the large windshields before the model 15 here, unique feature was it had a  air lift able tag instead of a bogey axle also it was before it's time with the bonded windows.
My favorite Eagle I look for one for many years and found 2 that are in court proceeding with a foreign mining co in Nev that imported 2 over here

good luck

I told an aquaintance the other day: "You are driving me crazy!" He responded: "It will be a VERY short trip!"

What island are you on? Maybe you really need to check these links out, instead of this awesome bus conversion group:

Would any body like to trade a big blue bus for a Yellow Submarine?

I'm on Kwajalein Atoll, in the Marshall Islands.  Just west of the International Date Line, 6 degs North of the Equator.

Wow! I have had several ham radio conversations to Kwajalein! Are you military?

Hi Bill, Glad to hear from you. Hope all is good in that part of the world.

Why don't you put pontoons on that MCI and have some fun over there???>? ::)

Mex,
I'm not military, in fact we only have 16 green suits on island. The other 1200 are civilian.
Who have you spoke to on Kwaj.  Believe Jack C. spends a lot of time at the ham shack.

Pontoons, I like it.  Being the island is only 3 miles long, not sure where I would drive it to once here.
