Title: Skinner Valve
Post by: Cary and Don on July 12, 2011, 05:39:22 PM
Anyone know where we can get a rebuild kit for the skinner valve in the engine compartment for the engine shut of air solenoid.

Jefferson in OKC Ok sells it for a 12 volt Eagle me I would go to a DD dealer and buy the all in one shutdown cost less than a 100 bucks and you don't have the skinner valve to worry with

good luck

Luke at US Coach in NJ has the valves. He my have rebuild kits...

I've not rebuilt a Skinner Valve before but I have rebuilt many other industrial air valves during my 30+ years in the service industry.
If the valve is leaking air you may find that if you take the valve apart all it may need is O-rings and cleaning. O-rings can be found at most hardware and automotive stores. As you reassemble the valve use a little Vaseline to lubricate the seals/O-rings.

If the solenoid (electric coil) is the problem then you may as well buy a new valve.
