Title: update on injector timing
Post by: skihor on July 05, 2011, 08:18:03 PM
Got outside after work today and managed to pull off the cold side of the turbo. Inside the "horn" it is
stamped.  (.95)  A/R of the hot side is still unknown. Does this help to recommend an injector timing figure ?

Thanks for all the help guys...

Jim, this is hard to try and help with not knowing the way he is setup the model from the turbo would help along hot housing A/R and knowing if he has a bypass blower or not and he needs to check the air supply most of those 6v92 stuck in the 8v71 place I find they leave the 900 cfm air filter not enough for a turbo 6v92 with 9g90's.
He needs to go back to dealer and tell them to re-time  the injectors that it has to much smoke and running hot now they know how to do it and he could have a bad set of injectors even the one they installed could be bad happens all the time with rebuilt injectors so bad lately I order 8 for 6v92 lol

good luck

I think I have this one under control. Per Don Fairchild I will have the injector timing set @ 1.460, also I'm going to install a fuel modulator. Just happen to have one on a spare engine that I bought.

Thanks guys,

Don
