But not the surprise you would expect. I purchased a couple of 24v bulbs (type 624) for my MC9 from MCI in Des Plaines outside of Chicago. Wasn't really focused, and just expected price to be sky-high so just told parts guy to give me a couple bulbs as I was thinking I would buy them for a much more reasonable cost online later.
The price from the MCI parts counter? Approx $1 per 24volt bulb. $10 for a box of 10.
/sigh... One of those things, surprised I suppose, so I didn't take the box. Thought I wasn't hearing things right. I went online tonight. Got the high prices I was expecting for 24v clearance lamps. $5 p/bulb, $6 p/bulb, etc.. MCI is a long way from my home. Maybe I can get them to ship to me.
Just a heads up, pricing may not be what you expect. The bulbs sold by MCI are not the usual GE bulbs, they are from China - & just say China on the bulb. But so far, works just fine on my bus.
Hope this helps, Phil
If you get setup with an account through MCI they give you a 1% discount on purchases online, and they ship for free, no matter what you order.
Thanks very much Thomas. I had forgotten about that whole online thing w/ MCI. I will find that account & get it going.
;D
Kind Regards, Phil
take either the bulb or the number to O'riley auto parts and they will have it for you the next day..buy all my 24 volts there....
