I had to take the bus back to the storage last night and waited until it got dark for less traffic getting in. Having a small street I have to block the road to unlock the gate. In my infamous wisdom I decided to use the gate with the key pad instead of the one with swing gates. As I was pulling in and my wife in the truck behind me she never looked to see I was going off in to the culvert. The security light was out so super dark and I did not notice the problem until it was to late. The bus came to a stop and the wheels would just spin. My back left was on the ground. Now I know what it means when someone goes into shock. I almost puked and passed out. First thought was to call my dad to bring his truck and pull me out. After I caught my breath and looked both ways to see if anybody seen how stupid I was I just called The allstate road side service. After about 45 minutes of them looking for a wrecker of the size I was talking about she had it set up. After an hour or so of people driving by seeing me in all my shame it showed up. After 20 minutes of him waking around it bitching about how buses suck and they are not made to hook onto the back of them he put some chains on the rear frame rails. He lifted the back end and it slid back onto the center of the driveway. I pulled it in through the gate and we were all done. I asked how much the bill was and he said $500 but all I have to do is sign it and allstate will take care of the rest. For $100 a year I will not leave home without it. So after a shower I laid down to go to bed just to listen to my wife tell me how if she would have done it I would still be cursing her into next week. ( we all know why that is. If we make a mistake it is because we were doing something hard. Not just keeping the grocery baskets away from the car.) ;D So as I pass out listing to the babble next to me I heard my alarm clock go off at 5:30 like always to tell me " Stupid your not rich so get to work" The main thing is Koodoes to Allstate For the great road side service they have always given me.

I am glad to hear there is a happy ending. Too many bus owners have sad tales to tell with large amounts of money thrown in. All you had to do was bear the shame of your mistake to every passer by. We all have those stories, but most chose not to share them. It is a little therapy to tell it to us and a mistake that will probably never happen again. Get a good nights sleep tonight and prepare for the next bus adventure.
