1951 Flxible with a 401 V6 and 5 spd.
OK I give up, how do I make my pics not too large?
Most photo editing software that comes with the cameras has a resize feature. Usually sizing it to 640x480 is a good size for the forum.
If you don't have the software or are not comfortable with doing it, you can email it to me at webmaster@busconversions.com and I'll resize it and email it back to you.

Some more photos.
Jeep,
That GM 401 V6 is the worlds number one gas gulper.
That would be a great bus with a Cummins nor International diesel and AT from a school bus, a very common conversion. For details contact "Honest Bob" at HB Industries in El Cajon, CA.
Mike Hill has one stored here at the shop that is similar, but diesel 4-53 or 4-71.
Looks like the first one could be a parts bus for the second.
The first one is restorable!!

The first one is restorable!!
So is the second one and it runs and drives with out supporting OPEC! LOL!
FWIW - Mike would love to find a buyer for his, but he keeps doing this and that to it until it sells!
;D BK ;D
Indeed, almost all old buses can be restored. It is only a matter of the motivation, skills, tools, available time, and budget of the person doing it. When fully restored and converted these old Flx's can be very nice. There are some beautiful examples out there. They are smaller so they fit in camping sites that our bigger buses can't and with a good engine they can get great fuel mileage. But it does take a lot of all of the resources I just mentioned.
I would really like to know what model it is. Any ideas?
If it is definitely a 1951, then it would most likely be a Flxible VisiCoach. The Clipper ended production in 1950 and the Starliner began in 1957. (based on information from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flxible) and Coach Information Network (http://www.coachinfo.com/AllAboutBuses/Flx_Info.html))
Another site you might be interested in would be http://www.flxibleowners.org/ (http://www.flxibleowners.org/)
just think of the gas mileage for a v6... ;D
Most pics I find they don't have those "cheeks" on the front corners. When I do see a pic with them it doesn't specify model, or the pieces are slotted and they aren't on this bus. And as far as mileage I like the Cummins & a/t out of a school bus idea and will be pursuing that avenue.
Jeep,
That looks like a great project. Really great.
Oh to be young again. Crap, oh to be 60 again.LOL
John
The hot springs aint too far away.....
I was able to determine it is a Visicoach. Thanks all for looking.
