Taking a break from getting the house ready to go on the market and read was reading the 'Stacker Trailer thread" with great interest. I really like the idea of getting as much weight off the hitch as possible as i own a GM Scenicrusier. My dream for a trailer is to construct a 'miniature' Scenicrusier trailer with 'wagon' type of front steering wheels. Could anyone suggest a production vehicle I could canabilize the front end from to help create my dream trailer? The trailer would have the same porporitions as a a regular Scenicrusier, but only 20-25' in length. What would you guys use?

...now, back to drywall work and painting. Yea.
I wouldn't use a front clip from any production vehicle, although I would use uprights, hubs and brakes. i would want the front geometry to have zero scrub and castor that could be flipped positive to negative so that I could back the trailer up easily. There is such a trailer made, someone has the link.

You do not want to use a front end that is worn out for this. I know from experience. The trailer will shake and shimmy going down the road.
I worked at a place that had bought third or forth hand a tram originally used at Disneyland. All of the linkages were worn out and the two trailer cars wandered all over. Parts were not available as the manufacturer went under when they lost the Disney contract.
Well i hope everyone had a safe 4th holiday. Since starting this thread i've replaced the deck and safety railing on the deck on the house, drywalled the inside of the attached garage, painting just about everything that didn't move. Still have a vanity to install in the bathroom. Just what does this have to do with Busses you ask?? We are trying to sell our house here in Co. so we can move to Kansas and be near our Scenicrusier. I really miss being able to go out in the mornings and walk down the sides then open the front door and sit in the driver's seat and make all those 'detroit' sounds while dreaming about rolling down the road to anywhere. No real point to be made here, just rambling on and still dreaming about a 'Scenicrusier' type of trailer. Attached is a pic of our girl on her moving day.
I've just dug out an old CD-Rom onto which I had saved this photo years ago. This living wagon is probably of a similar vintage to a Scenicruiser, and equally cool in a tastelessly flamboyant kind of way. A Scenicruiser pulling one of these would attract the attention you're looking for:
