Not quite sure how you hit 9 parked cars on a residential street. Wouldn't you STOP after one...or two...or three??
That coach operator is based in Kirby-in-Ashfield, a couple of miles from my house. I expect they'll be advertising in my local paper next week for a new driver

Maybe that driver also owns the local body shop?

"But my directions said go to the 3rd street and take a right and KEEP GOING until you get to the 'seafront', but the bus just wouldn't make it with all these cars hanging up on and in front of it!"

Think about the insurance. HE hit nine cars, if the insurance runs out at 6, 7,8&9 better have full coverage!
Happened to a friend. Lady hit 4 cars and his was the fourth. Her insurance ran out at three and he was left holding the bag!
