Title: RE-NEW TO THE BOARD
Post by: Carcrazyguy57 on June 21, 2011, 01:42:19 AM
HELLO EVERYBODY! Decided to return to the bus community, I've been out since 2000, I got married and my new wife didn't care for living in the bus. We had a good run, she passed away in 2007. I have become disabled, can no longer work for a living, my momma lied to me! She told me that hard work would not hurt me. 37 years in the Oil & Gas drilling industry damaged my neck and lower back. I have decided to become a fulltimer once again, as I do not need this large house (less to clean in a bus). So I am actively looking for a bus. My last bus was a 1951 Flxible X-Ray Clipper and as I am disabled I am looking for something a little newer requiring less work. I have my eye on a 1967 MCI5A and a 1977 MCI8, both reasonally priced, just depends if the buyers for my cars on Ebay will actually pay up! I have currently listed a Ferrari, a Lotus and a Mercedes Benz and I pray that they will sell, leaving me only 19 more to go, one boat and two motorcycles. :) I would be happy to share knowledge with anyone here. I was a diesel, gas, and turbine mechanic for several years. I can no longer do the work, but have a plethora of tools and can supervise from a distance (in a yard chair with a glass of iced tea in my hand). Please bear with me as I will have a lot of questions about the specific busses in question and thank you in advance for your help.
Neal

Honoured to be first to say welcome back!   I am sorry for your loss, and your disability, but I sure hope you have a good time chasing a dream or two!

Welcome back to the bus nut world Neal!  Since you have been one, and are "car crazy" I am sure you will fit right back in with the rest of us nuts.

Like Brian, I sympathize with your loss and I know the disability is frustrating and makes even simple tasks a challenge.  But I am certain with your knowledge and willingness to help people, your presence in the bus nut community again will be a blessing to many.

Neal -

Welcome back!

Sorry life has given you some lemons, but it looks like you're making lemonade, so kudos to you!

Take a minute to edit your profile to at least include your name/city/state, that way other busnuts can help with recommendations for local help, or be able to come by so you can hold up the dumb end of things while they putter with their coach.

FWIW & HTH. . .

;)

Welcome back, Neal! Sorry to hear about your disability and also the loss of your wife.

We should be up around Houston sometime in September or October. Maybe we can share some iced tea, coffee or a Dr. Pepper.
