Post by: David Anderson on June 20, 2011, 06:44:40 AM
I need 13 elbows like this:

for new washing machines in my laundromat, but there must be something cheaper than this price.  Anyone have any ideas?  I'm not having much success on Google.

David, do they have to be made of silicone those are pricey if molded rubber will work go to Napa and buy their cheaper grade of molded radiator hose around 8 bucks, all the silicone hose I buy starts at 1.00 inch for 3/4 and goes up I paid 10.00 a inch for 4 inch for the good stuff

good luck

Clifford,

As usual you are the source.  I just returned from NAPA and they actually have a 90 degree 1 3/4" ID hose, short for 9$, long for $17.  1.5" pvc pipe is 1 7/8" OD, so the NAPA hose should fit over that. (I hope)  Thank you for the lead.

My local NAPA dealer is the only auto parts place that will ever pull out a book to try to find odd and unusual stuff.  I can never get that kind of help at Autozone or O'reilly.

Isnt that the truth. I tried to get a 160 degree thermostat for a small block chevy at my local autozone. He insisted that I give him the make and model of car that the engine was in. So I told him, its in a late 80s volvo. The guy actually tried to look it up. ::)

Anyways back to your question.
I got some mariane grade hose at a auction one time in the size that you are looking for. I dunno what it cost but I had all kinds of pre made bends and such.  I hav eno clue on price or a dealer but it may be a place to check into.
