Title: Drive axle shafts for MCI 102-C3 vs A3?
Post by: HighTechRedneck on June 07, 2011, 05:05:37 PM
James, a friend of mine that runs a charter business, has a 102-C3 that needs a curb side drive axle shaft.  BK has a 102-A3 that he is willing to sell him the axle shafts out of.  Are they typically the same?

The specs on the shaft James pulled out of the 102-C3 are:

43.25" long
2" dia.
24 splines

You really need the model number of the rear housing off both buses to be 100% sure

good luck

Hi Folks:

I checked the parts books for the A3 & C3 and "as built", they were the same.

Just be sure that BK's have the 24 teeth that your friend needs to match his side gears. I have seen MCI's with different spline counts.

I Hope this HELPS!!!  Happy & SAFE!! Bussin' to All.
