My wife and I just had this discussion the other day.  We talked about buying a nice grill and buying the slide out deals and mounting it in a bay.

I was then going to make a lift to raise it up to a more comfortable using level.

Kwikee makes the slides check their site I had one a few years back and I mounted it in the top of the bay instead of the floor removed it and went back to a portable the wife didn't care for the smoke getting in the bus

good luck

I recommend just buying a portable gas grill and not attaching it to the bus.  Then you can place it anywhere around the bus that's convenient.

We use a 3 burner campstove. I installed a quick disconnect with shutoff valve in the bus propane system in the second bay. I have a double length hose (about 6 ft) attached to the grill with the male quick disconnect end attached. I can set up the cookstove next to the bay and plug into the bus propane system and cook right there. This would be perfect if I had an awing, but don't have that yet.

I can also set up the cookstove away from the bus and remove one of my 40# propane tanks from the rear bay to use on it. I have a separate regulator with the female quick disconnect end on it. This works out very well for us. We set it up under a portable canopy or inside a screen tent when camping. There's still a tank connected to the bus system if we still need to use the inside stove/oven.

Make sure it slides WAY OUT, it would not be the first or second grill that flared up when someone went inside for something or other.Have seen a few paint jobs ruined and one Plastic coach completely destroyed from that type grill. Last grill fire we saw was in the back of a pick up truck, grease dripped on the plastic bed liner set the truck on fire and almost destroyed their fifth wheel.Be careful, it only takes 25 minutes to destroy a bus by fire and 17 minutes for a plastic motorhome.
