I have this Eagle 10 with a wiper issue. The passenger side blade slams hard at each end of it's stroke. I have removed it from the bus and after replacing the broken screw and tightening the other loose one that holds the two half's of the motor together, it works well on the bench. The plastic valve body looks OK, Boomers warned me that that could be an issue. When I mount it back in the bus the slamming is still there. The mounting assembly has been modified in the past but does not seem to be binding. Should I replace the complete assembly? Does anyone have used ones for sale? Is there kits to rebuild the motor? Where would I buy a rebuilt or new one? Thanks for your input. Tom
On my eagle 10 my drivers wiper slams to the outside of the bus real hard at times. Perhaps I ahve the same issue as you. I havent had time to tear mine apart yet.
Look here Tom: International Bus Parts; Jefferson Bus & Truck; Kirk's Automotive; Mohawk. I had three spares but gave them away a couple years ago. Do still have the intermittant valve though. Maybe Clifford has a spare in his stash.
Also Tom, try hooking it up the drivers switch and see if it still does it.
Mine does the same thing. The best fix I have to date is Rain X. In other words I have not tackles that project yet.
Rome Truck Parts I find to be the best for parts and rebuilt motors they are a Sprague and Trico dealer 1-706-295-4345 I haven't ordered anything lately I guess they are still around check the web for Rome Truck Parts in Rome Ga
