Title: Kissimmee, FL Silver Eagle
Post by: garhawk on May 27, 2011, 06:51:57 AM
Hey Guys,

My brother is very interested in this bus which is located in Kissimmee, FL.  (currently on e-bay # 2207 8744 3142) It has been hawked on e-bay once before and the high bid was $35,000 but, the bidder did not show.

Does anyone know anything about the coach?  Pete Papas has agreed to drive to Kissimmee and generally inspect the bus.  If you know the coach or, what specifically should be paid extra attention on this model Eagle, we would be most appreciative if you would post ASAP!

Pay close attention to the adjustment left on the torques the model 01 suspension is impossible to buy now if you have 2 inches of adjustment left it will last a life time but don't let the adjustment scare you 01 owners just add air bags to help then use the bags as a leveling system cost you around 2 grand for that.It is a nice looking bus it is straight I personally don't like what has been done to the front I like the 01 bumpers and the mess grill it looks sharp

good luck

Very, very nice looking 01.  So many of them have been butchered up with new caps, I love this classic look.

Seems like a good deal if the seller's claims are accurate.  My only concern is that the "new interior" looks a bit dated with the burlwood laminate.  Still, looks like a lot of love has gone into this one.

Very nice looking 01, like the original caps and tail lights! As Clifford said, check rod adjustment on the suspension torsalastics. Looks pretty straight too!

Get a VIN#, BN#### and we can tell you where it started it's life.

Good Luck!

No, my Brother did not buy the 01 in Kissimmee, Fl.  There are both seemingly mis-interpretations due to language barriers and, mis-representations by the seller who refused to make adjustments.

Hey, look at the bright side, you didnt stick yourself with a problem.

Mis-interpretations? Minnesota speak, you call on a car for sale, ask if it has rust. Rust apparently means different things to different people. Some rust is no rust, a lot of rust, or a little rust. No rust can mean there isnt any rust, or, no rust can mean the car still moves down the road under its own power without falling apart.

I looked at a car once where the seller said not much rust. The bottoms of the doors were gone as were the floors, like about 6 to 8 inches were missing! The response was "what do you expect for X amount of money (forgot the asking orice). On the other scale are the ones who say it has some, or a little, and you find a car with zero rust.
