Title: Rear Lights on my 4104
Post by: Rick59-4104 on May 24, 2011, 03:27:29 PM
The 04 did not have a license plate light, I had a vintage aluminum light from a 1947 Westcraft Travel Trailer I restored, it has a red glass lens in the back (bullet shaped to match the clearance lights) and a clear glass half circle lens on the bottom to illuminate the plates.  I mounted it to the frame above the plates changed out to a 12 volt bulb and works great.
I think some older 40's cars had these also. It really looks great with the original marker lights on the back of the bus.
Pictures don't do it justice...

Nice! It definitely fits the looks of the 4104.

 Paul,
The Van is the 72 Kurbmaster, it may have been in the barn when you were here looking at the 4104, I did an earlier post on the van kind of kidding around about using it as a toad. It's got a 500 cubic inch Cadillac engine with a turbo 400.
The '47 Westcraft Coronado Travel Trailer I used the light from went down the road with my '47 Spartanette Trailer when I came down with the bus addiction.  :(
