Try calling these people. http://epohouston.com/ (http://epohouston.com/) When you come back to Houston you need to check them out. They sell all kinds of surplus electronics. I am sure they will ship whatever they have.

Clifford, several folks have recommended Wayteck.  I have not used them, but it looks like you can order less than full spool quantities:

Well, let's try option two.

I have used Skycraft Surplus in FL.  They have a ton of wire.  I think most of it is surplus Mil Spec, but you might try them.  I have found that they do not list all their wire on their website:

http://www.skycraftsurplus.com/wire.aspx (http://www.skycraftsurplus.com/wire.aspx)

Their prices are really good if you can find what you want.

I only have about 6 feet, you are welcome to it if it will help.  Otherwise, check out

http://www.wireandsupply.com/category_s/318.htm (http://www.wireandsupply.com/category_s/318.htm)  - 18 cents/foot and shipping isn't too bad (about $8) to the Las Vegas area....

Clifford, you have my curiosity going.  I am not familiar with GXL wire.  I see that it meets SAE J1128 as well as Ford and Chrysler specs.  Apparently it is aimed at high temperature applications.

Where are you using it and why?

I often use Del City and it looks like you can buy the wire in 100 foot lengths there:

http://www.delcity.net/cartviewitem?item=4114105&search=y (http://www.delcity.net/cartviewitem?item=4114105&search=y)

For the sensors for my system, I have to use 400* F wire.  I have found that wire at SkyCraft and they had a pretty good selection of Mil Spec M22759/11 in the past.  Does not look like they have a very good supply right now.  It is PTFE insulated (not all that fun to work with) but it will sure handle high temperatures if that is what your need is.

Jim, it is for a Stone/Bennett shifter,Jake Brakes and also for the Allison B500 the oil resistance, flexible and 250 degrees is what I am in need of been using it a long time now with no problems

good luck

Skycraft Surplus has a lot of stuff that isn't on the web site.  You need to call them to be sure.  They have both the retail store and a seperate location for ecommerce.

I'm surprised Clifford wouldn't be able to find this wire locally.

Clifford you have to spill the beans..

What are you working on.   We have seen the Cummins L10 Jakes, and now the shifter and B500..

We are just happy for you AND curious..
