Is it required to have it posted anywhere on the bus? Im from IN if it matters any.
I have saw it on about half of the pics that I have saw of conversions.

I dont know about it being a "requirement"....... but I have had people on a few different occassions try to board mine to go to some destination only to be completely embarrassed when they walked inside lol And Ive been waved at a few times with only one finger when driving thru neighborhoods my bus came from and going by the bus stop (strange custom). Maybe that's why people do it, in case others will read?

Not required by anyone. However, there are some horror stories if you do some searching, about buses stopped by DOT officers who insisted they follow some commercial law that really isn't/wasn't applicable
i suppose having a private sign would save the officer from embarassment because he might check before making you stop?
i don't have a sign on mine and it's never caused an issue with us.
If you have to cross any bridges or toll roads the rates are different for a commercial coach and a private RV especially if multi axles are involved. The toll takers often ring up commercial as they see you approching so the private coach sign gives them a heads up. (and i think i would try to get on Teresa's bus myself ;) ).
No sign and no problem when I travel.
I don't think they are required, but we have them on our coach to help avoid any confusion. Jack
A few states require the plate last I checked there were 15 I got pulled into a weight station in South Dakota several years back because I had none.
I was reading where some states are trying to implement new laws for the rv weighing over 26,000 lbs CO is one they want to charge you for crossing the state I can see there reasoning but I don't like it some of the new rv's are in the 50,000 + lbs class same as some trucks and just as hard on the pavement as a truck

I'm surprised that you would pass a bus stop and not pick up passengers. Everything I've read about you tells me that you cannot sleep at night until every last one of them is at their final destination.

I know some busnuts have similiar buses to the transit buses used in their area. Some of them have reported intentionally slowing down for passengers at bus stops and then driving away without actually stopping. It seems like a mean thing to do to those folks.
When I had a new destination sign made for my 4107, I included "WRONG BUS". Back when I was driving in revenue service, I always wanted that one. Passengers don't pay attention, coach instead of a transit, wrong color scheme, nothing matters - they don't pay attention. It's a bus, and they want to get on.
I remember the posts Brian is talking about, someone who thought it was funny to do that. I agree with him -- not only mean, but when the passenger calls the transit system to complain of a passup, the driver could get in trouble. I'm doing a cost projection for a bid now, one of the rules made by the public body client (transit system) is that any employee with three complaints could be terminated. So, the jerk that thought it was funny to swerve in and out of bus stops with his transit, could get also someone fired.
