Title: E-Spar Circulating Pump Alternatives
Post by: Joe Camper on May 10, 2011, 04:19:08 PM
I could use some help on this one. We have e-spar on our bus the hydronic style. It has a 24 volt external coolant circulating pump that is bad.

I contacted e-spar and was told the one I have was 375 but is obsolete and the replacement is 600

Un !@#$% believable

Here is what it is and any help leading  me to a reasonably priced alternative would be greatly appreciated.

It is a small centrifugal pump that can handle the heat and this also says 1800 litre per hr and 40 watts.

The inlet and outlets are about 3/4 just looking at it in my lap here.

What are the small webasto external circulating pumps going for and are they 24v any of them? This looks just like one of those

Look in the granger book. I bought one for my aqua hot from them at 1/3 what the dealer wanted.

The stock electric coolant booster pumps out of a GM transit might be another alternative?

Mohawk?

That is exactly what I used and other than size I'm very happy with it.

I plan on re wiring and making a seperate control panel with toggle switches, so I can keep the pump circulating after burner cycle.

The other toggle would be to turn the burner on any old time I want. :)

I've been following his auctions online, and he also will give support for a new comparable Webasto/ Aqua Hot system. I beleive he may even have a web site with info. I'm keeping him bookmarked for the future  :)

At his price, would have been worth buying a spare if he had anymore.

I'm sure there were a bunch that did just that.
