i removed heater core from bay compartment. whats best to do with the inlet and outlet ? if i plug them off whats best to use? also if i leave valves closed in back motor compartment do i lose heat in core in dash?
If you have a GMC, you'll loose all coolant flow to the front if you shut off the valves in the engine compartment.
The Same if you have a Flx or an older ACF-Brill.
Those are the only ones I know about from first hand experience.
I hope this Helps!

i forgot to mention its a mci 9. thanks jim
I can't say what's best to use to plug them, as I didn't remove mine. If it's copper, you could probably solder caps on the lines. Or, you might could tie the two ends together with heater hose.
I do know, though, that if you shut off the valves in the engine compartment, you will lose coolant flow to the driver heat/defrogger.

When we removed the heater core from our MC-8, I wanted the option of re-installing it later, if I changed my mind. I blocked the lines to the heater core using a short length of rubber heater hose with an appropriate sized pipie nipple and cap in the other end of the hose. Hose clamps finished the process. Hope this helps, Jack
