I am working my way to the back, just removed the electrical compartment junctions, 4 aftermarket relays, in line fuses, 20 years of add-ons and upgrades; I am starting over. My GMC 4106 has been changed to an Allison V-30 automatic transmission and the books I have do not cover it. My questions are: there are three electrical terminals come out, one on the side by the shifter (is this a temp sender), one on top and one on the bottom by the u-joint, what are they for, Ignition lock out, back up light switch? Are there manuals still available?

If you call it by the right name you'll have better luck finding info about it. Your transmission is a V730 Allison. Good Luck TomC
Thank you Tom, knowing the right number I was able to down load the service manual from Allison.
