Well I've driven the bus 1700 miles since we left TX on Apr 1. We've been all over Missouri, back to Joplin, then Tulsa, now we are south of Topeka with our next building job starting tomorrow at 7:30. It's 40 degrees outside and the webasto is keeping us toasty warm. It is supposed to get down to 33 tonight. It's been a good trip except for the bogie tire bubble we had 3 weeks ago in Miami OK. The leaking air line I wrote about 2 weeks ago was an easy fix. I did get frustrated once and told my wife this bus is more maintenance than the boat we used to own. ;) She kind of agreed.
The roads have all been good except MO43 from Joplin to Tiff City Mo. It is much better for motorcycles than my coach. I had to go that way as our destination was located on that road. The hills and turns kind of made Leigh a bit nauseated. I think I drove the centerline more than the lane.
We had lots of rain during the tornado scares 10 days ago. We actually had a tornado 4 miles south of Springfield MO Fri Apr 23 when we were there. That was a bit concerning to us. Hopefully we will have a good 2 weeks here in KS.
We will head back toward Stephenville Tx on May 14.
Bus life is great when all systems work.
