Title: The Caverns
Post by: Geoff on April 19, 2011, 10:24:31 AM
Took the bus out last weekend from Prescott, AZ to Laughlin, NV.  My wife suggested we take a detour at Seligman and cruise by The Caverns (the site of a few MAK bus conversion gatherings) on old Hwy 66.  For those of us who haven't been there in the last 8 or so years, the place looks basically the same-- from the road (we didn't stop) you could see the old firetruck and the old transit bus.  I understand they improved the campground and now sell fuel, but it still looks the same from the road.  I kinda miss those old MAK conventions, but I guess the money wasn't there.

We stayed there a couple weeks ago for two night's wasn't bad, but you do need to get there early so you can get your bus wound thru the trees in the daylite, had 50 amp and water, wifi at the caverns.
