Hey All,

I need a wiring diagram for my jake, during the dash redo a few wires were forgotten about. Here are the particulars,

1962 4106
8v71 w 730
Two stage jake w/high idle buffer switch

Also, were do I look for the high idle buffer switch on the Engine?

Easy one to read TM is www.bernhardbus.com (http://www.bernhardbus.com) the fast idle if you have one will be below the controls screwed into the governor housing with a 1/4 inch air line come from the holding cylinder on top of the governor controls and will have 2 wires only 2 wires you have no fast idle.
Be real careful if you have never worked on Jakes the buffer switch if not adjusted right the engine will run away and the only way to stop it will be cut the fuel off

I simplified my Jake installation and eliminated the fast idle option.  Why-because I already have a King Cruise control that can be used as a fast idle-so why have both?  Makes the governor just a bit simpler.  Good Luck, TomC

Plus you can purchase the King Cruise for less than you can buy the fast idle buffer switch
from DD 150 bucks cheaper

I buy for around 500 bucks Tom list price is 695.00 shop and some times you see it below 500.00 best cruise control for a mechanical engines out there
