Title: Dancing in the rain as a Scenicruiser goes to scrap?
Post by: kyle4501 on April 09, 2011, 07:29:54 PM
Should you hold onto the lemons, or make lemonaide?

Sometimes bad things happen & the bad guys seem to have all the face cards. That is how it is concerning my (scenicruiser) 'orphanage'. One would think that if you had 18 acres & parked 4 buses where you couldn't see them from the road - that you'd be fine. You'd also be wrong. :o :( >:(

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have been forced to make some tough choices. One of those choices is to scrap out a Scenicruiser. The sad part is that it is a straight & relatively rust free south western car - but after vandals stealing parts & someone crashing a car into it, I cannot see it being worth the effort required to put back on the road. The engine & transmission were toast when I got it, & most of the tires won't hold pressure. . . . .

So, in order to take some control of the situation, I've decided it would be better to part it out to help other PD4501 owners before it goes to the crusher. I've listed more details in the spare parts section.

As for the dancing in the rain - parting & scrapping it out will help offset some of the costs involved in trying to save a few others . . . . 8) ??? ???

Kyle did that bus have dd3 brake chambers? I need a right rear to rebuild for my mci5 as mine has two left rears. Thanks ,  Glen Rice
