Title: 4104 heading east out of L.A.
Post by: TomC on April 08, 2011, 10:04:45 PM
Saw a fairly nice 4104 with a single horizontal red stripe going east bound out of L.A. on Interstate 10 today. It was just humming along. What caught my eye was the big toy trailer he was pulling with what looked like a off road truck in the rear and a quad sticking out the front.  I hope he doesn't get stuck trying to start on a hill with that load.  It's not that the 6-71 lacks power, put with only 4 spds-it's a little less then ideal for startability.  Good Luck, TomC

"2150 to headquarters, over"

The "lookout" description sounds familiar.
Seems like there was recently advertised for sale an 8.3 Cummins repowered '04 of that description.

"2150 to headquarters. Should we set out the spike strips?"  ;)
