I have been gathering parts for a couple months now. So the new tranny Allison SP3200 is mounted. May be a month before all is done to try. The engine and tranny are in, but checking to see if I want to make changes to the fit. Need a longer drive shaft for sure. This setup will use 5 speeds with 5th an .74 overdrive. If this does not fly the 740 is close by. Tom Y
That is a very interesting photo, I see a lot there! I like the stand to help guide in the engine.

Tom, isn't the 3200 SP a military spec transmission ? I had a chance to buy a pallet with 4 of those at a auction at Ft Hood but I didn't know anything about that model so I passed should have spent the 800 they sold for huh
good luck
Yes, You should have. I paid a lot more than that. That's my motto buy high, sell low. Mine was for a Spartan chassis, new never ran Gen 4. Part of the RV industry crash.
If they were all put together and I was sure all the parts were there I would have but it looked like a mess to me lol, buy high sell low you must deal in cattle also
good luck
The 3200SP, MH, EV are all the same transmission rated up to 450hp and 1250lb/ft torque. The 3000 series has a little different gearing then the 4000 series. The 3000 is- 1st-3.49, 2nd-1.86, 3rd-1.41, 4th-1.00, 5th-.75, 6th-.65. The 4000 is- 1st-3.51, 2nd-1.91, 3rd-1.43, 4th-1.00, 5th-.74, 6th-.64.
It is important to know that the 450hp 1250lb/ft torque is thee highest rating this transmission can tolerate and have a decent transmission life. The ISM you're using can go as high as 500hp and 1550lb/ft torque. Be sure you set the parameters on the engine not exceed the 1250lb/ft torque, and everyone will be happy. Good Luck, TomC
Tom C, I am running a L10 330HP and 1250 ft lbs. So I hope this will work. If not I am saving the old parts for a while. Tom Y
It looks like an electronic engine. I know the highest L10 mechanical was something like 330hp and 930lb/ft torque. Hopefully this is electronic so that the trans will work correctly with the engine. Good Luck, TomC
