I've ask this question before, and didn't get any feedback, does anyone know if you can put a trailer hitch
on a MCI-5B, and where can one be purchased?
Steve 5B......
Steve I don't think you will find a factory made hitch for you're M.C.I. but you can go to a good welding shop and have one custom made.
Have seen them on Ebay for MCI Bus Towing Hitch,Fits MCI5C,MCI7,MCI8,MCI9,MCI102.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MCI-Bus-Towing-Hitch-Fits-MCI5C-MCI7-MCI8-MCI9-MCI102-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ220758616827QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MCI-Bus-Towing-Hitch-Fits-MCI5C-MCI7-MCI8-MCI9-MCI102-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQitemZ220758616827QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories) I do have a Hitch on my bus the PO put on and I use it for towing 4 down. I was told by the po not to exceed 100 ponds toung weight as the hitch is tied to engine cradle which was not designed for the additional load.
Red bus, Thanks for the info. I'll get with Chaz and see what he can come up with.
Jaime, I looked at the link but didn't see anything about a 5B, I would assume the A-C are the same as the B.
Seems like we have seen this before. Feedback on site looks to be positive though.

I would not trust more that that with that receiver. It only attaches to the end of the engine cradle right behind the bumper. The metal it attaches to is not more than 3/16" thick (2 layers). Jack
