Well here's a different idea for air conditioning. How about those free standing, self contained-portable units. LG, Sanyo etc. 110v, 12 amp, 12,000 btu. Cost about $600 at Home depot. $400 for a 10,000 BTU at Costco.
Reviews range from wonderful to awful.
What do you think? Anyone tried these? Yes, I'm being cheap. jm
Ive been kinda thinking I might put one in the dash of my bus.....
John,
If I am remembering correctly, Jerry Liebler tried those several years ago.
I don't believe he was happy with the results. Might have to do a search on that... ???

edit to correct spelling in Jerrys name
In my Flx, I bought 3 roof air units at the wrecking yard for $200 apiece, and was happy with that. I thought that was cheap...

I have one or two handy that I will try this summer. You and I both are 3 months away from even thinking about AC and then we wont need it for long. I'd surely rather try this route than to even think of whacking holes in my roof. I'd go without any AC before I'd go the roof mount option. Thats me though.....
Thanks Cliff for looking up that post. I searched but no luck. The costco option for less than 400 bucks seems like its worth trying. If It does not work, I can return it. Opus, 3 months may be optimistic. HCB that is an interesting thought. JM
We have one in a bath closet we use for bath /bedroom area. Vented thru roof. Does a decent job for the last15ft of the bus.we like to sleep in the 60's. Will be using. Minni-split in new coach.
