OK Guys, what is the trick to keep the wheel acorns on? Seems like as they are getting older I loose one every 500 miles or so. I'm sure there is an easy way!
Thanks
TM
Mine wouldn't fall off on their own, so I just knocked of a couple on some overhanging shrubs in a turn near the Charlotte Airport. :P

A little silicone will do the trick tire guys don't care for it but it works
good luck
give them a little squeeze with a pair of channel locks before you put them on.

and really he means darn little, like maybe on one hex flat....is PLENTY.
After putting them back on i take a rubber mallet and give each one a tap or two to make sure they are completely on and seated. Always find a couple that i thought were all the ways on that still had a little ways to go. :)
Thanks Guys,
Hopefully I will be able to keep them on now.

The truck stops sell a special little tool that helps take them off. It is like a cross between a large pair of pliars and a large socket. It has rubber where the acorn will sit on it while taking them off so as to not scratch them. You will find it near the acorns. If you put a little squeeze on them prior to putting them on they will go on tighter.
That only works on the metal ones, not the plastic ones.
