John,
Some neat things to see in the Augusta area while at John & Lois. Also some neat places in the Palmetto Cove area. From Palmetto Cove, you could head East to Charleston and then South through Savannah on you return to Miami. Both areas have some beutiful state parks and a lot to see. I will lay some maps in you coach that I printed of a scenic route from our place to John & Lois via Bob's Used RV Parts in High Springs. Jack
thanks jack did i post this wrong ? i thought lots of bus nuts would offer advice see you soon john / lidia

Bob do mean the "Biltmore Estate" in Ashville?
Vanderbilt is the college in Nashville that I take 3 busloads of co-eds to Ft. Walton Beach, FL from every year 1st weekend in April! ;)
;D BK ;D
You got it BK just a senior moment youngster. Big elaborate mansion.
John,
You could stop at Silver Springs on your way from our place to Bob's Used RV Parts. You will be within a few miles of there. When you leave our place, just put Silver Springs, Ocala, FL in your GPS. Jack
John, sorry, i wasn't thinking when i saw this early this morning. Not enough coffee.
hey, there is lots to do right here in Dearing. fran and i have been here a week today and it's been real fun - lots to see and do. Thomson is just about 6 mi from John's house and that is a treasure trove. there is an O'reilley's, Advanced auto, Autozone, Napa, Tractor Supply and the Case tractor place makes hoses for hydraulics. Wednesday last week, we got a gear puller from Advanced, Thursday, brake cleaner, hand cleaner, rags and hose clamps from O'Reilly's ( o man, you should see the counter help ;) ;).)
Today, we went to visit all of them looking for a 9/16, fine thread, 6" bolt to screw the gears back on. Finally found a machining a welding shop with all sorts of junk, including a 9/16, fine thread, ubolt. John's gonna weld it up to use.
Tomorrow, breakfast at waffle house before heading to case tractor to get ends put on a hose.
One good thing, the cooking is great here. Lois is wonderful, although fran helped and no, fran is not staying she has to go with me. Easily room for a number of buses, and John loves to work on them, so if you need anything - oil changes, engine changes, tires, whatever, John is terrific. And he really likes working with inexperienced busnuts as well. :D :D
Really, this is a nice place for a visit. Augusta is close by and i'm sure there's lots to do. We just enjoyed resting after working on my engine all day. John and Lois will make you feel at home. We almost feel like family.
tom we are heading up to john & lois will be good to see them again just trying to see what we might see & do on the way there say hi to fran john / lidia
John,
With regard to what Tom said...... We have some of the best water in the world here in Dearing, GA. However, it takes visitors and newcomers some time to adjust to it. After drinking some of our water, visitors and newcomers have been known to skip down the middle of the road whistling. Sometimes a trip to Thomson which is about ten miles away feels like only 6 miles. Any excursion to to Wal Mart will usually result in a picture posted on http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?page_id=9798 (http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/?page_id=9798) . A visit to any of the parts stores is like going to Disney World.
Right now the Jasmine and Wisteria is in full bloom and the pine pollen is painting everything yellow. The Jasmine and Wisteria put you into a very loving mood and the pine pollen makes you eyes water and nose drip. Usually resulting in a red eyed horny person with a dripping nose skipping down the middle of the road.
We are making good progress on Tom & Fran's engine oil leak. We should have it started back in the bus by Friday. Not to worry when yall get here things will be pretty much back to normal.
I have some exciting entertainment planned when everyone is here. We are going to look for "Blind Willie" McDuffie's grave site. He is buried somewhere near Happy Valley, Ga. We can also visit the Oliver Hardy Museum in Harlem, GA. Oliver Hardy was born in Harlem. Lois says tell Lidia she is looking forward to Spanish lessons.
John there is a mom and pop campground across street from Silver Springs entrance. You can save 7$ parking just walk across street. I'll ck on price later and let you know.
john sounds like fun see you all soon john / lidia
lois nos vemos pronto lidia

John,
You might want to look into a PassportAmerica membership before going to Wilderness RV Park. The PassportAmerica membership will probably more than pay for itself on your trip. Look here for more information on PassportAmerica http://www.passportamerica.com (http://www.passportamerica.com) Wilderness RV park is a beautiful gated RV Park. Jack
