Title: "Palmetto Cove" SEBN update, March 18, 2011
Post by: Gary LaBombard on March 18, 2011, 08:08:15 AM
We do not have the expected busnut member numbers signed up for the Dinner / Show at Pumpkintown Opry on April 30, 2011.  The owner needs a certain number of attendees that I thought was no problem in reaching, but the economy etc. has certainly changed things. I hope there is not anyone left procrastinating for the last minute sign up for the rally.

The owner of the Opry house putting on the Dinner / Show has given me until the 25th of March to get back to him with any increase in definite participation for the dinner.  It takes much time on his part to get people and cooks prepared etc. which he was doing specially for our rally.  If you have any intention to go to the Dinner /Show please make arrangements to commit ASAP through the SEBN website:

http://www.southeastbusnuts.org (http://www.southeastbusnuts.org)

Everything else is still the same for the SEBN "April in the Carolna's" rally even with the performance of ELVIS, aka (Marc Woodward) who is willing to work with what we have at the Cove for his performance and Friday night the performance of JR Lynch and the Peppercorn band with their bluegrass music, all evening long if you respond..

If you do not pay through (paypal) before the March 25th deadline for the rally and dinner / show and plan attending & plan on sending a check at the very last moment of the 25th, you may email me with your information that you have definately sent a check in the mail and will be there so your numbers can be counted toward the April 30th, dinner.  Please email me at:
(busconverter101@aol.com).

Those that have committed & paid ahead of time I surely appreciate as it gave us numbers to work with toward food etc.  If the Opry house dinner show does not materialize, reimbursement to those that paid in advance will be taken care of at the rally.  I will be so sorry you will not have got to enjoy the atmosphere of the Opry house, the excellent food & the special Show I arranged for you in a professional stage setting with the lights etc.  I did my best to make this possible for you to enjoy.

Remember again the 25th, of March is absolutely the last date deadline to sign up for the special dinner / Show.  You may register the ($35) fee to attend the rally right up until the rally starts again through the SEBN website.

I wish for all those wanting to come to the rally to please continue in doing so as I know we will have a great time as usual.

Just promise to drive safe to and from the rally.

Gary

It is a definite no show for us.  :(  We sure tried, but our schedule got changed drastically. We wont even be in SC at that time. I sure hope more can make it. I bet the dinner and show would be great.

Crown & Jack & those interested,
The Opry house owner needs 100 paid up customers for him to arrange to have the Opry House open up early, that includes all the help needed, cooks and of coarse the food for the meals for us all.  We are just about 1/2 of that number needed that wish to have the Dinner / Show at Opry house.

The owner has a special show venue normally produced for the dinner entertainment that he has produced and does not want to interupt or confuse any of those normal supporters of his dinner-show with any other entertainment.  The Elvis show is entirely my idea which I still look forward to wether it is at the Opry house or at Palmetto Cove. The Opry house owner has offered to announce on his outside marquee about the seasons early opening and the special Elvis show one week before the scheduled dinner to help fill up his restaurant with our SEBN club having the choice location for the dinner.  But, he needs the guaranteed 100 people from our club that are paying customers by March 25th, before he will go to all the work for his preparations.  I am very appreciative of his allowing our club to have this special event at his restaurant especially with his willingness to open earlier for the season just for our rally.  This was an idea of mine I take full responsibility for as I wanted something special for this particular 2011 SEBN rally that would never be forgotten, considering another rally by the SEBN may not be held at Palmetto Cove for some time in the near future.

Everything is still the same for our April in the Carolina's rally, only all of it will be held at the Palmetto Cove Campground I believe which everyone is probably more comfortable with and we will make it happen for you all.  We will have our Potato Supper prepared by Kyle and supporters, outside entertainment by JR Lynch and the Peppercorn Band on Friday night, our full weekend flea market of good we brought to sell and those we wish to buy, Special Breakfast in a Bag, (great eggs and fixings) by Ed & Ann Gallant on Saturday Morning, Special lunch dinner on Saturday prepared by Dave & Carol Lang with their great NC special Sausage, We will have a catered dinner at the Palmetto Cove on Saturday to replace the Dinner at the Opry House, and we will be specially entertained by our own Mark Woodward, for one hour be known as our own "ELVIS".  So nothing has changed for our SEBN Rally drastically if we do not get the number of SEBN attendees needed to attend the Opry House.

If the weather holds out like it is this very weekend for us we will have a very blessed rally for sure as you will see all of Palmetto Cove coming alive for spring, a sight that is breath taking and relaxing with very special friends.

Those coming to the SEBN Cove rally, come early during the week if you can and just enjoy a little piece of heaven that I believe God visits occasionally just to meditate at.  We look forward to your visit with us in SC.
