Well after looking and waiting and saving for 7 years we finally did it and bought our first bus yesterday. I have loooked at a lot of buses and finally found the perfect match.
She is a 1977 Eagle 05 project the previous owner had the bus about 80% finished and decided to sell her. He has already done all the hard work raised roof, new caps, all rusted metal replaced , new aluminum siding new interior all I have left is, some interior work wiring finish plumbing generator paint and new tires. This is the Arkansas bus that has been on E-bay for 3 or 4 months. My wife and I are so happy we did not settle and got what we wanted a Eagle with a manual trans(yes we wanted a stick) Looking forward to getting to know everybody on this forum in the future.
Have a great Day

Congrats and welcome. You say you bought it in Arkansas, but where do you hail from? Good luck and enjoy, Will and Wife ;D
Congrat's on the new bus... welcome to the asylum. I saw that bus on Ebay, nice coach.
Your name, "harley86"... what's it mean?
Thanks for the warm welcome.
To answer a few questions.
We actually live in Arkansas about 100 miles away from where the Bus was purchased. We drove it home Thurday and she ran great what a blast Friday was my wifes 50th birthday and this is her birthday present. Needles to say she is all smiles. As for the Harley86 name I ride a 86 Harley Softail and my wife rides a 2001 Harley Fatboy. We have a passion for Harley Davidson Motorcycles. You may wonder how does the bus fit into all this. Well we race a Harley Davidson Drag bike. I am the wrench and my wife is the rider check it out (www.amazondragracing.com (http://www.amazondragracing.com)) The Eagle is going to travel all over the country taking us to the races. We will not have her ready for this year but hopefully next spring.
I am sure some of you are curious about the manual trans I used to drive a truck for a living and really like to shift gears my wife also knows how to drive a non syncro trans so it is not an issue for us. Also I believe the manual is easier on fuel and is cheaper to maintain. Also while looking for buses I noticed some real bargains oln manual transmission equiped buses as I am one of the few that does not mind having a stick.
I will post some pictures latter.
Take Care Kerry

You two are living the dream. ;) I always thought it woud be cool to get into Harley Dragracing one day, but I don't know much about it and we got to many iron's in the fire right now. We'll have to go see yall race sometime this year.
As far as your bus goes, the guys on this forum are a great resource of info.
Yes the Harley drag racing is a blast we started with a street bike 8 years ago.
I have posted some questions on this forum in the past while I was still looking for a bus and folks were very helpful.
