Hey Gary, Tried to call Palmetto to sign up for a site and the phone is disconnected. are they closed until April 1?
Tom Hamrick
Tom, I am told that they do not take reservations as they have never been full.
Kyle might chime in about the phone situation.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Jack
Tommy and others;
The Palmetto Cove is not open as yet and as Jackhart posted, making reservations for the campground is not necessary as they have 150 prime sites and have never been full. Make rally reservations separate from the Cove by going to the SEBN website where payment for the rally is possible by (Paypal or Check). All information is on this website, use the menu on the left side of the 1st page of the website to surf this web site for rally information. Go to:
http://www.southeastbusnuts.org (http://www.southeastbusnuts.org)
Reservations have to be received by the 15th of March so arrangements can be made with owner of the Pumpkintown Opry who has agreed to open his business specially to accommodate our rally. Please do not wait to the last minute or later, plan to have a great time.
Gary
Glad you can attend Tommy. See you there.
Only 3 Days left
to register for the SEBN April Rally.
Only 2 Days Left to register
for the SEBN April Rally.
Cut off is the 15th, of March. Gary
Gary,
Aren't you implying the cutoff is related to food activities & that someone will still be able to attend if they register after the 15th?
John and everyone else,
The March 15th cutoff date is for those wishing to enjoy the meals with us and we have the planned food etc. for the rally. This cut off date is necessary for those wishing also to attend the Saturday night Dinner / Show. The opryland owner needs this time to arrange for people to work the dinner for us to all eat in a timely manner, prepare the food etc. also for this dinner. The Pumpkintown Opry restaurant owner is opening up for the season early just for our rally.
Of coarse anyone that wants to come to the rally is welcome right up until the day the rally starts. Those that pay the rally dues for the meals planned will have the first rights to the meals and those that did not will pass through the meal lines last to be fair to those that planned and paid before hand.
It is pretty hard to "make plans" for a rally, I believe Kyle has a success at his rallies as nothing is planned and no dates for registering is necessary. In our case, this is our fist rally to host & we wanted to offer as much as we could at a low enough rally fee to entice anyone without hurting their bank account and offer everyone a great time attending.
An encouragement for anyone (Hosting) a rally is for everything to go smooth, but this does not always happen. Having a rally fee encourages those hosting to have food etc. for those to enjoy but you need to have a number of those planning to attend to be a success. Of coarse anyone can just come to camp with us and visit etc. but the fees charged which are minimal at this rally anyhow still makes it possible for us to do brotherly things together. Without fees charged there are things people do not realize has a cost to our SEBN club which after a few rallies without any fees would sure delete any monies the club has to function.
I have hired Marc, (thejumpsuitman) to do a "ELVIS" entertainment show for us during the rally as this is his way of making a living, he is professional and out of respect for our club and our personal friendship he has offered to entertain our SEBN bus rally for 1/2 of what he normally gets. This payment to Marc is not included in the rally fees or rally cost to the SEBN of any kind. His performance is a special request from me to you all coming, your are paying for the meals included at the Palmetto Cove rally & special fee also for the Dinner / Show at the Pumkintown Opry. You are not paying for Marc's professional entertainment show.
I encourage everyone possible to come to the "April in the Carolina's" rally at Palmetto Cove, registered or not. Make this a great time to get those cob webs out of your bus from sitting all these winter months for some of us. There has been a few that asked if they come late or register late can they come, of coarse you can and we hope you will. The SEBN will do all they can to accommodate you during your rally visit if your decision to attend is last minute.
I hope I have made it possible for you to all consider attending even if you have not registered by the 15th.
Gary
I wanted all to know that the evening Dinner / Show, (Saturday, April 30th,) to be held at the Pumpkintown Opry House will only have the entertainment of Marc Woodward , thejumpsuitman, as the tribute entertainer as ELVIS. Marc will not be entertaining at the Palmetto Cove campground. I can easily see where this was not clear to everyone, sorry about not proof reading.
