On the roof of our Silversides are two fresh air vents that were used by the old factory air system. The grilles are approximately 8" or 9" wide by 14" long (one on either side of the front of the bus.) A few years ago I sealed them with GE silicone and they don't leak [yet] but now I would like to dress those grilles up a little. My thought was to get some of that rubber roof patch that Camping W..... sells and stick that to the roof and then for a decorative edge put down some of that auto molding used on landau tops. That was fine until I saw that the rubber roof product only comes in 12" x 25' lengths and is 90 or so dollars. Do anyone out there have any ideas, left over pieces or suggestions?
Any advice will be graciously accepted, Thanks
Dave
check with a local roofing contractor. they use rolls of rubber type roofing on roofs (flat with gravel on top for weight to hold it down) and have scraps that should do your job & should have adhesive also.
