Title: Alternator Part Number
Post by: Kenny on February 25, 2011, 05:07:05 PM
Anyone know where I can find the cross reference from MCI's alternator part number to Delco's part number?

MCI's manual calls out 2 part numbers 7R354 and 7G325 (external oil feed line)

It's for an MCI9, 6V92, DN50, gear driven alternator. The one I have is not direct drive but rather bolts to an adapter housing which is bolted to the flywheel housing. It's not the adapterless direct drive alternator but rather one that is bolted to an adapter housing which is driven by the camshaft.

Kirk's Automotive will have the numbers/parts you need.  They have been remanufacturing 50DN's forever.  The Coach Guard alternator overhaul kits that MCI sells, or used to, came from Kirk's.  Good outfit.  www.kirksauto.com (http://www.kirksauto.com)
